That is a trader long/short positioning 3 days ago. Long DJI, short XLRE. It isn't investor rotating capital. They would have taken profits (closed book) by yesterday.

Don't know if it's ts the bottom yet but the top holdings all look solid and will bounce back eventually even if interest rates stay the same

DBS properties were divested to form CapitaLand

How is REITs investment their business?

I do know that OCBC owns alot of properties

There is a cap on how much RE they can hold iirc.

Owning shares in reits and owning properties have different implications on banks capital structure. It's definitely much less onerous to hold reits than to own properties for banks

Interesting that banks want to invest in REITS. Invest in US stocks better? Or REITS income is better for a bank?
