You should come out with a guide on how you do ur picks and some case studies. Maybe can publish book liao also

he already has...a simple one in his blog.
besides an educated investor still must do their own part in research.

IMO since everybody already knows tapering is coming, they would have already priced it in so the effect of any concrete news will be small compared to what happened earlier.

i also think that the effect will be a minor one.
stable reits like Areit and Plife are not going to get whack so much unlike last 2 months.
missed the Areit boat when my money was stuck in m1.

my main concern is for those counters priced below 2...
anyway, just to play safe, will try to sell those that can cut loss one.
so far, sold half of my FCT.
personally, i think most of my holdings will be in trouble come sept 17th, CMT, FCT, MCT, MIT, MLT, cache, suntec and first reit.
have particular concern about cache and MLT these past 2 weeks with both trading near NAV...both counters seem to be experiencing substantial weakness.

I received the green letter from MCT liao. Anyone opting for the Distribution Reinvestment Plan (DRP)? :D I'm opting for it, feels like a fair deal. 150 units per 10 lots.

going for cash because I'd only get 80+ units... if I had more lots I would take DRP.

??

10 lots = 0.01753 * 10,000 = $175.30

DRP Price -> $1.2027 / share

Max lots is $175.30/$1.2027 = floor{145.75538} = 145 lots nia :s8:

if u do partial DRP .. u will get {145 lots + $0.90 back}

:D

DW, would you take Scrap Div? Given that I only can get like 20 shares if I do that, it is not worth it? Can use the $ to find stocks with better return?

No.

I will take cash. I always take cash. Bcos I am not DRIP Warrior. hehee =:p:s13:

On a serious note, my holdings are too small.

DRIP is for big investors with hundreds of lots. ;)

Yup. See your acc statement, no odd lots at all. I rather cycle the cash. Looks like more bargains in Sep 14

Anyone uses the 200 day SMA or the 10 month SMA as a gauge to enter reits? Alot of these reits are below the 200 day MA now.
