if anyone knows taking grab from genting is illegal ?
last time took a cab from genting to mid valley ...
the uncle charges us 140 myr ... grab seems like no one wants to pick us up
he added that grab is illegal to pick up at genting

Yes, and you paid too much. The bell boy at resort hotel will get a taxi for you for RM90 to KL, around Bukit Bintang area and RM 100 if a bit out of town like mid-valley.

But since I got pregnant last year, we haven’t been to genting (think it’s almost 1.5yrs). I understand there’s the new SkyAvenue and SkyCasino. So what happened to the casino at First World Hotel itself? Closed? Because the extension area was pretty new and I quite like it there.

yes that casino is closed. the indoor themepark building is almost fully under renovation. skycasino is just above the starbucks escalator, v convenient similar to the previous casino

Did anyone travel to genting via starmart 11:30pm bus recently? Did the bus alight passengers at Awana or FWH?

Do buy food in Singapore before boarding the bus. Starmart no stopping at Yong ping for makan break.

Only 1 toilet break stop along the journey. Usually starmart coach go KL first then go genting which will take abit longer time if there is a jam at KL.

Thanks for the info. I am more interested to find out whether the Starmart 11:30pm bus will drop passengers directly at fwh since most likely will reach genting around 5-6am in the morning.

Or need to ownself take awana skyway from awana bus terminal to the top?

Back last night, took wts, both arrival and departure from FWH lobby. And I saw a few other companies operating from there. 707 also there with a counter. Maybe its a temporary measure, not sure.

On a side note, the walking distance from sky casino to the main casino at Genting Grand is veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy FAR.

Sorry as I didn't really compare the prices around, I took WTS cos of the convenience picking and dropping off at Jurong Point which within walking distance to home
