Planning to stay in grand ion delemen hotel for my upcoming trip in dec.. just wondering easy to book grab up to the main attractions? thanks :)
Stayed in grand delemen once... Recommend is don't stay there 🤣 although distance is shorter compared from 半山 but time around the same... And the path is like less travelled.. Rather stay at 半山 much better than grand ion imo.
The one time I stayed at grand ion I got assigned a 2 bedroom room that is like 15mins walk from the main lobby. Place is like a maze, easy to get lost if first time there. Room also quite rundown. (dirty) Never staying there again 🤣

Hi all, is it possible to perform mobile check in without the account holder present?

Booked a room using my dad’s account but he is only going to Genting a day after my arrival so he won’t be physically present. Please advise, TIA!

As far as I know, you still need to scan the passport at the kiosk even after performing the mobile check in. So in short, no you cant check in without the wccount holder present. (for FWH and Highlands)

For genting grand, the front desk will ask for membership card (don't remb need passport or not) after you perform mobile check in

Is the old casino re opened ? If yes, any more of those old slot machines still running ?

I preferred the old slot machines as they are more fun to play, like zorro .

I do know that some old machines at one corner of sky casino, near the chinese restaurants and directly second floor.

Suggest that you book another 1 day room under your own name for your day of arrival since your dad will need his passport for border crossing if you both are not already in Malaysia. Your dad will still also need to do a app check in the day of your arrival to secure the room. You will both need the QR code for kiosk check-in on the day of his arrival or check-in at counter.

Right now, plane tickets are expensive. They are however still the most efficient to go up if you are a solo traveler.

If you are in a group of 4 or more, hiring a MPV is definitely a cheaper option.

If you are in a group of 2 to 3, the price between the two options is about the same.

I will not take the night bus up as i find it too dangerous and takes too long.

I had travelled to Genting Highlands 4x, solo since July 2022.
Taking Transtar Club Z was the best option.
Skipping YongPeng is a plus, no time wasting.
5-6 hours just nice to watch 2 full downloaded movies.
With less stops, u can enjoyed better cat naps too, on a non-intrusive cocoon vibrating massage seats.
comfy $128+ Transtar vs a less-atas WTS $88.

Flight + Aerobus + Cable Car.. this is definitely not comfort, no time saving, as you wasted time between transit waiting.

Flight + Grab as good as private limo service with certain time wasting in immigration and grab booking.

In comparison, private transport is all-in-one package. S$350 for even solo traveller is not bad if you a time-watcher. pick u up at your residence block, drive thru customs show passport.. toilet break while driver topup fuel.. (optional to eat breakfast at local eatery), after exit KL toll, another toilet break.. next stop FWH main lobby. Less passengers the driver can drive like Takumi Fujiwara (藤原 拓海).

Normally online, I can see coach names like 707, WTS and Transtar being advertised heavily. Any good ones or rather, any one to avoid?

707 is usually no-frills.. zero interaction onboard.. no assistant.
Cheapest too and fastest rides..

The drivers are usually young F1-driver-wannabes, and usually tag-team, change drivers at rest stops.
