Looking at the range of prices, it is clear that there is product differentiation between the various operators. WTS and Transtar have the better buses and "service" but you pay more.

Interesting to see an unfamiliar operator https://www.sinyong.my that does trips to further north. Reminds me of some operators who may still be at Merlin Tower and do not list on the portals.

There is nothing really fantastic at MingAn@YongPeng, the Ramly burgers and Hotplate noodles quite popular previously, but the houseflies infested eatery could be a turnoff for many.
Time wasting wait also one of the main reason I opted for Transtar Club-Z.

Most of the contributors here are travelling from Singapore to Genting. You may want to share more about your trip from JB to Genting on your return.
There are 4 bus co from jb to genting, 707, v express, sin yong and yellow star.
707 pick up at merlin tower at 8am, tun aminah 8.15am and drop off at melaka before proceed to sky avenue around 2pm. price rm 60. There is an earlier bus at 7.15am for members with return trip at rm 38 but need to buy nn chips.

v express and sin yong pick up at KFC which is outside of larkin at 7.45am and tun aminah at 8.15. Both goes to TBS before proceed to awana bus terminal around 2pm. Price is rm 60.

Yellow star pick up at larkin bus terminal at 8am, tun aminah at 8.30am then drop off at TBS before proceed to awana bus terminal around 2pm. Price is rm 55.

Other options is to take bus from larkin to TBS from rm 30 to 35, then book aerobus to awana bus terminal rm10. Check to make sure is direct to TBS, some buses go to melaka before TBS. The travel time from larkin to TBS is about 4hrs.

Coming back from genting, the same 4 bus co at same price going up and same drop off point as pick up.
707 pickup at sky ave at 3.30pm and reach merlin tower around 10 to 11pm.
Yellow star, v express and sin yong pick up at awana bus terminal at 10am and 3pm, travelling time around 7hrs. The plus point with jb bus is don't bring you go shopping,

I ordered fried rice before many years back. It turned out to be fly rice since there were flies in the rice.

Nothing improved at Yong Peng over the past 30 years in terms of food quality and hygiene standard. I always wish the coaches stop only for toilet breaks at R&R points along the highways and skip the highway exits for Yong Peng, Apparently coach drivers are incentivised to stop at Yong Peng.

Hi, anyone took morning Transtar Superstar Z to Genting and back to Singapore recently?

Would like to know roughly what time the food is served and how many toilet breaks for your trip?

Same for the return trip to Singapore - roughly what time food is served and how many toilet breaks?

Thanks in advance as i am bringing parents/ in-laws and my young children. So wanna pre-empt them.
