afroad of jam than fly back lor lolxxxxx
Ya. By flight not too bad. Doesn't really save super a lot of time but it will be within your travel time estimate unless the budget flights cock up. So far AirAsia ok.

I usually fly in KLIA2, KLexpress (28min, 80rm 2-way) to KL Sentral and then either grab up or coach up (60min, 10rm). If lucky can get Alphard at 95rm using grab plus. Normal grab around 60ish. Last time still got comp limo. Now it sucks!! Shame on you genting! Haha

Only perk left for those who fly is the airport lounge. KLIA2 lounge sucks x 100. KLIA1 is very good 👍

Breaking the trip up makes it feel quicker somehow. Hahaha... self deceiving!

I stayed at the Highlands Hotel during my recent trip to Resort World Genting. Some observations are:

(1) Hotel rooms were not readily available compared to First World Hotel. As we were there before noon, we had to register our bookings at the front desk, provided our mobile numbers, and waited for their sms when the rooms were made available.

* We checked in our luggages at the concierge, and proceeded for lunch. We were impressed that we got our rooms within 2 hours.

(2) As Genting Casino had already been (temporarily) closed since end Feb, we had to take approximately 1000 steps to transit from Highlands Hotel to the SkyCasino.

* I believe a walk from Resort Hotel and Genting Grand to SkyCasino would roughly be the same or slightly lesser, since Highlands Hotel is located at the furthest end.

(3) 24 hours shuttle service is available from Highlands Hotel lobby to First World Hotel Lobby (SkyCasino). However, shuttle service from Genting Grand to First World Hotel Lobby (SkyCasino) will only commence from 10am to 11pm.

* Driver (at Highlands Hotel) mentioned that he is cool to fetch me down alone, and there is no need to wait out until the vehicle is full.

** We are not aware that there is free shuttle service from Resort Hotel.

(4) SkyCasino level #01 is very packed. Slot machines are located closely abreast, with narrow passage in-between. Chances are some inconsiderate buggers will bump onto your chair when they walked through, without any remorse.

* Almost all new and popular slot machines are fully occupied. Also, Tables and ETG are very crowded and full too.

(5) SkyCasino level #02 is equally packed, but not as congested, as the crowd generally does not loiter like those at level #01 near the entrance area.

* This level is not fully opened. There should be rooms for improvement, hopefully.

(6) SkyCasino level #03 is the best of the three. Slot machines are spaciously apart,. Tables are quite crowded too, but not as packed. In addition, there are enough seats for ETG too.

* The only short-coming for this level is that there are not many new slot machines compared to level #01 and #02.

(7) The time between 5 to 9am has the lowest crowd. People generally stream in between 9 to 10am. Presumably after their breakfast, I think.

(8) The old long stretch of escalators from Genting Vision City to SkyAvenue is closed on every Monday to Thursday. It is only opened from Friday to Sunday (+ Public Holidays) between 7am to midnight.

(9) Most items at the LoL Soon Kee Desserts were struck off from their menu. I personally think Sweet Hug would be a better choice, having tried both during my recent trips.

(10) The food at Swenson's was awful! The steaks appeared to be well-done or over-done despite choosing medium rare & medium well. I think they probably micro-wave-oven-ed their food. Suggest stick to ice-cream in future.

I had bought prepaid sim for Genting for the past 2-3 year. Knew quite alots on this.

I used mostly to upload concert video to Facebook and watch personal Jellyfin and IPTV, and data used about 2-3G per day. Thus I bought the unlimited data for 1 week or 30 days. Generally RM40-50.

In 2024, the ideal plan should be Hotlink 5G unlimited for MiFi, and XOX Unlimited 35 for 4G/LTE.

Most plans from 3-4 main telco unlimited plans tied to phone IMEI, since this year mifi get zero internet even with modded TTL. Most MNVOs best for modded MiFi.

Digi/Celcom after merger their post-merger unlimited plan is mostly Mobile-only. Same for U-Mobile.

Only Hotlink 5G unlimited and XOX effective for any device.

Anyone with active Digi/Celcom pre-merger sim will have unlimited plan for MiFi.

If you want cross border roaming, TPG SuperRoam 50G postpaid.

will u be there?
I will only be there in the Puasa weekend. My last trip earning about 370TP over 3 days. Nothing to change from the ikiosk except a PS3 concert ticket. The rest are just mainly food vouchers.

I only got the travel subsidy for my birthday this year. Apart from that, no travel subsidy previous one year plus and preceding months.
I got $0. Not even 1 time...hahaha every year go up to hit tp but also don't have. I go up 10-15 times per year though...so I really got no idea how they choose the guests to give them the travel subsidy. The only time I get is pre covid and have to use GP to exchange...I think max is $40 or $80 rm...I forgot

Nowadays just focus on winning instead of focusing on the subsidy, which is extra bonus.
