It's because not everyone goes to Genting for casino. And not everyone who steps into their casino spend a lot. I go to Genting partly because I am thrifty. Partly for the cool air. Just want to be away from the stress and hot air in Singapore without spending too much. Stay in my room most of the time so SIM card is important.

ok noted like i'd said. i got carried away thinking everyone here like me goes to casino with several hundred at least.

I don't go casino when I go genting. Mainly to blow cold air and go to KL by bus for cheap food/shopping. :o

Yup! Drive before. Nothing happened before (heng ah). Normally bring 1x steering lock good enough. Remember off head lamps, everytime got a few jokers leave their lamp on one, then battery die...

I normally set off early in the morning. Climb mountain around 12-1pm. Don’t like to drive/climb at night. Personal preference, and cos of safety also :)

anyone drive using own car to genting? is it safe? and what are the best timing to drive up?

nvm I decided to stick to blackjack

hello guys,

recently i have been hooked on to video poker. Want to ask the experts here does genting have video poker?

If not, what about marina bay sands or resort world sentosa?

And what kind of video poker they have? As in, what are the odds? Is it worth playing it?

To add on, if you park there for a few days without moving the car, off the in-car cam as well. The last thing you want is for a dead car in a foreign country

Was quoted $350+ by Transtar for 4 nights at FWH and 2 way transport. Really chop 🥕

4 nights FWH if via app should be 60rm per night? Plus whatever 10rm simi sai tax = 250rm = 82sgd

So the 2-way coach is 270?? Wahahaha...can fly twice to KL via SQ/Silkair :)

Depends on what date you are booking. Weekends, Christmas etc more expensive.

Book using Genting app or website https://book.rwgenting.com/member2/HotelApp/HotelList.aspx

When you are at the page where they show you the prices for different room type (Standard, deluxe etc), you can click on rate calendar. Then select room type from pull down. Can see which days are more expensive. See if you can accomodate your trip to the cheaper dates.

I booked using the slow poke genting app. So far all the dates are 60rm? Or must register as member then will reflect the cheaper rates? Confirm cheaper than whatever travel booking app I believe.

Thanks. It's about RM100 per night for non peak period. Not sure if member will get better rates. :s12:

For those interested in the difference between what members and non-member rate is like for FWH Standard Rm. Here is an example of the rates for Nov and Dec.

Genting-FWH-2019-11-12-2.jpg

Pls note that the '0' on the date means its free for at least that one night. How many free nights you get is different for different members.

I'm only a Sliver so I expect the rate to also be slightly cheaper for Gold members and above.

Nice.

Better way of comparison is to anyhow choose a date to utilise the free room. Then add to book more. This way the price will show up instead of 0.

For room rates, std/ same for different type of cards. Price difference only between member vs non-members.
