Hi friends, need some advise. Wanted to bring my dad up for birthday celebration. Dad contacted COVID ~sep 21 and had deferred his booster shot. When updating his MySejahtera, it's reflected as partially vaccinated.

He got his booster shot, on 13 April 22.

I have a question, would he be rejected entry into casino? Would any friends here with similar experience be able to share? We are going on 24-26 April. Now hesitating whether to postpone, but it will be passed his birthday.

I didn't experience this. I wanna say you can hiong cos of point #2. I rem seeing people showing documents instead of myseja during my rwg trip.

To enter premises in Malaysia that require proof of vaccination, show:

1. Vaccination certificate in MySejahtera application; or
2. Physical vaccination card from country of origin; or
3. Physical proof of vaccination exemption for travellers who are medically unfit to be vaccinated

But hmmm...since your dad took booster on 13, it will take 2 weeks I believe to have the booster vac cert from SG and a few days to upload and show up in myseja. That's past your travel window. I'm unsure if your dad would even pass the customs without the risk of a 5 day quarantine if MY customs somehow mess with you. I'm assuming your dad is above 60. For MY, 60 above travellers need a booster to be considered fully vac. That's what their website says.

i m inside jb since yesterday. n this is my 3rd time since 1st apr. abt mysejahtera for the three times they dont ask for mysejahtera at causeway. i dont know what they see on their computer system when i handed over my passport but anyway i had already submitted my notarised vax status to them more than ten days ago but yet to be updated in my mysejahtera app! it still shows 'not vax'.

i only dreaded the first time. now i dont bother.

yr concerned is valid.
although in jb all i needed was check in using mysejahtera into any establishment, i m not sure genting also simply follow that OR they hv stricter protocol. in other words wld they insist on seeing the fully vax status shown on mysejahtera. but one thing for sure if u dont hv a physical print out of yr notarised fully vax status. dont go.
because u wldnt hv anything to back up.

MySejahtera app DONT need data to scan codes

App may hang, just exit, close, relaunch and scan again

i realised that only when my network had no connection n it still confirmed the record of yr visit to the establishment. amazing! now i know what crap they are doing but it didn matter.

Thanks for all the advice. I went down to my dad place last evening and realised.... This booster vac is updated in health hub vac cert despite it's just taken few days ago. I quickly updated mysejahter app. Hope to get the full vac for him these few day.

I conclude that booster might not need the "14 days" to show in our vac cert. Heng for my case. Hope this experience helps for future ref.

I believe the booster shot doesn't matter, in my case, I managed to get it to fully vaccinated with 2 vaccination shots.

About the partially vaccinated, you might want to try going to MySejetara Profile and update his date of birth and full name then update the status again . Thanks to some other people sharing in this forum, It happened to my gf and apparently it worked

Toilets and area outside toilets are now the default smoking points. Hahaha. Good also la. Machines, tables too cold, take a break. Genting club can smoke anywhere at the bar area.

Bring with you ba I guess. I believe the guards are just spotting for colors other than Blue on the checkin screen after you scan. I took a screenshot previously. Cos damn irritating to keep scanning. Hahaha. Myseja don't have swimming otter like TT. The guards half sleeping also.

booster jab will updated in trace tgr within 24 hr
so technically can get cert physically within 24h

Hi bro currently in Genting. Will return to SG tmr and come back Genting on 25th April.

Here's a brief FR of my experience that can hopefully help everyone who are looking at traveling to Genting and /or Malaysia in general.

I departed SG on 14th Apr nite (10.30pm), bus came at around 11pm and we left for custom. Reached SG woodland custom at about 11.40pm and it was deserted, with only a handful of people crossing the checkpoint. Immigration formalities was completed in less than 15mins and we headed to JB custom. There was a slight jam on the causeway due to the number of cars looking to clear the Malaysia checkpoint and we reached the immigration complex slightly after 12.30am. Immigration clearance on the Malaysia side was smooth as well with no one asking for our mysejahtera and/or nortarise vaccine cert (thou we completed all formalities as requested pre-departure and have our vaccinated status updated to "fully-vaccinated" on our mysejahtera app.

After clearing immigration, the journey was extremely smooth and we made a slight detour to drop off passengers at Berjaya Times Square before heading up Genting. We arrived in Genting at about 4.50am and stopped at the "new bus terminal" located at Sky avenue.

- Experience in Genting

1. Majority of shops at sky avenue have unfortunately not survived the pandemic (~50% of the shops are not opened)

2. Practically no one checks your mysejahtera status (yes even for entry into the casino), thou everywhere is affixed with the QR code for you to scan if you so wish (exactly like Sg)

3. Table games have a set limit of players (e.g 6 players/table for roulette) and dealers will turn away anyone as long as the table have reached max cap.

4. Majority of those at Genting are local Malaysian with Singaporeans making up at most 30%. Seems like singaporeans are still quite apprehensive towards travelling to Malaysia despite the lifting of almost all measures as long as one is vaccinated. In terms of crowd, I will put it at about 60-70% of pre padenmic.
