Genting FAQ - Part 3

Will be visiting genting today after my last visit pre-covid, any major changes i should keep a lookout for?

Also anybody currently in genting up for some drinks? My friend last min cmi so end up having a solo trip.

I am planning to take a coach to Genting from Kovan Hub. Is KKKL better or 707 Inc?

For the same route, I will personally recommend 707 as the departure timing from Genting is earlier. The pricing by 707 is also better.

Genting is still as popular, and crowded.
Many eateries had closed, but plenty more had set up too.

Durian Festival (outside Genting Grand Car Park area) is still available, until early November.
Skyworlds Theme Park is already opened. Admission to Gotong Way is FOC between 6 to 11pm everyday (less every Tuesday, during non-school holidays).

707inc transportation hub counter is located at the Crockfords Hotel lobby, and they start work at 9.30am daily.

The "Express Check-in Kiosk" still have latency. Expect regular "Error Prompt".

The "Toiletries" vending machines along the First World Hotel walkway had been removed. Only water and snacks vending machines are available at the ground floor lift landing.

Light show (those ball ball hanging from atop) outside Sky Casino is temporarily off. The place is currently under maintenance.

Entrance to Sky Casino is now limited to Level 1, and Level 3. Level 2 is shut, for now (or probably for good)

Genting membership service counter at Sky Casino is now located at Level 2, beside the Sky VR. You can get your membership card made, renewed, or replaced. Alternatively, you can also do it at one of the 3 Self-Service kiosk. Do note that one is for red card, one is for Malaysian, and one is for Silver members.

For Platinum and Gold members, just go to the service counter at level 2, near the escalator before the Gold & Platinum Club. There are 2 self service kiosks beside it too.

Smoking are only allowed at designated areas. However, I still see many smoking and vaping openly.

Bottled water is now only available from the vending machines inside the Casino. They are $3 and $4 for a small and medium bottle respectively.

From my observations: You get to earn 1 TP when you rolled between $500 to 625 at the common area (Sky Casino level 1 & 2). However, you only need between $210 to 225 for a point at the Gold Club (Sky Casino level 3). TP for ETG wise... I was at the Old Casino... realised $100 is about 0.06 TP (because I always bet $10 on "0" + 125 on "Red" + 125 on "Green" for fun).

Rather than saying that it is a loss, look from the perspective that you are gaining more points using RM10 per round?

Think depends who is performing.

Watching concert at Genting is convenient. After concert slowly stroll back to room or eat supper.

Had a chat last concert with one regular concert-goers uncle, he mentioned if the concert start at 830pm that many KL-ers left the the concert hall around 1030pm to 11pm before the concerts ends to avoid downhill jams going back KL. These crowd movement disrupt the other spectators.

This uncle power.. went to many concerts, even RWS ones. High rollers. Gave reviews to the concerts he had went.. he claimed he went to many 庄学忠 concert that he could fall aslept in the first row VVIP seat

I game for fun. I just don't feel like betting $100 on 1st-12 + $100 on 3rd-12 + $10 on 13 + $10 on 14 + $10 on 15 + $10 on 17 + $10 on 18 + $10 on 20 + $10 on 21 + $10 on 22 +$10 on 23 + $10 on 24 (leaving 0, 16 and 19 empty).

I am ok to throw small money into the wishing well, instead of a freak pain, which take awhile to recover! Thanks.
