Genting FAQ - Part 3

App got special request options, but i never ever got them to work, maybe a fake option?
Anyone success?

How many minutes do you spend viewing out the windows during your previous stay at Genting?

For me, never exceed 5min total. No nice views, no pools bikini.
Why the obsession with nice view?
Near lift is convenient, but noisy during night time.

My usual preference is high floor, away from those condenser fans top of the malls'' roofs if staying at FWH, you need to open windows to enjoy cool air during summer night, opened windows at lower floor means humming noise from those condenser fans. High floors usually means no need wait few rounds for elevators during checkout rush hours.

HH and GG, windows cannot open, and they got aircon, very quiet night.

Never tried checkin using app. But kiosk works. I usually pay for high floor, near lift and mountain view (Y5 triple).

Once near lift got first room next to lift. But noise ok. Maybe because I usually go weekdays (off-peak). And with the high floor added in, most of the time hardly see any one.

I don't spend so much time in casino. Sometimes wake up already need to wait for kids to wake up.

Mountain view can leave the windows and curtains open when sleeping. Wake up can see daylight.

No mountain view curtains always closed. Wake up don't know day or night.

If Y5 rooms, will the app give us option to pay for mountain view, high floor, near lift etc similar to kiosk check in ?

The room options will show up progressively over the day when most rooms are cleaned. Mountain view will never show up for Y5 deluxe rooms as this room type is in the middle part of tower 3.

Already stay in First World tower 2 and 3 so many times that I know roughly the room location by room number.

The kiosk can select specific floor which is an option not found in the app.

I waited hrs to be able to get it. The queue like hell. I got contact host for help, he say only can help me on resort, highland and genting grand. First world too many room, can't help much, only can approach counter. But he told me my next trip for HH and GG he already arrange for me already.

You can select the smoking rooms by floor. For example, for Tower 2 and 3, the firmed smoking floors are 21 and 27. These floors are floors I will not choose as I don't smoke unless no better floor options are available.

Fwh non aircon... Usually i ooen window, turn fan up and take it that its smoking room. Only book y5 triple, superior deluxe and world club to ensure it is outward facing. hehehe

Yesterday spent 12 hours traveling up to Genting by coach. Today spent 4 hrs changing room in first world hotel, utilising the platinum counter. 2 days burnt for the start of holiday.

Yes, first time experience for me. If only I had chosen the super early coach yesterday, probably a different starting experience for this trip.
