when in rage at work and wanted to throw towel...
Pause...go smoke or go walk around, take a short break...
do not act in haste.

Last year, I wanted to quit 24 hrs.
But my boss's boss, a very high EQ lady. Advised me to cool down n don't.

Done that many times.. Agree with that advice.. Generally will likely to end up in another “bad role” and the vicious cycle keep repeating.. it’s worse if u compare with ur peers and find yourself forever behind them..

Ask me regret or not, I will say yes.. Ask me if I will do it again or not, I will say maybe yes..

Like one of my previous jobs really made me work until very tried.. 4k+ job but literally do 2-3 pax workload (I’m not exaggerating and is the previous staffs left and me cover) and the manager literally a messenger cum manage ppl only.. Really song after leaving it’s like I’m alive again..

But me bbfa la, no car no house low paying job so can afford to do that..

i think it is a bad idea to find job without a job. the recommended approach is to tang ping and do bare minimum while looking for job but dont be an ass cause you might need your boss's recommendation or at least good words in your new job.

Who ask u weak dun dare to threaten ur manager. If me i split half my workload put him responsible and ask him to report to me outcomes. I can easily offer to be part if his comms to reduce his workload.

Between doing this and quitting be hum ji u chose to be hum ji.

The market is no longer the same, last time quit liao 2 to 3 months break , will be back to the work force..
Now 6 months break if lucky, many waited 1 yr or more and cannot expect employer to match last drawn pay .. imagine drawing on savings or passive while tiding thru crazy inflation

Now hirers also caught in unstable global mkt development..

Only rage quit if already got backup plan or enough savings for 1 year plus ….

When respect is not serve on the table , it’s time to leave …
When a coy always play games behind your back, it’s abt time to regain back your dignity..
