It would take a while to get back the same type of job with the same pay. Let's say you previously get 5.5k as a developer, it would take more than six months now. Now vacancies for developers or programmers have dwindled. Try to work in a factory or f&b or warehouse or do grab food or drive a phv first. It helps to pay your bills and your wife will not be so siong.
Most manual jobs have a lot of vacancies, just grind 12 hours or sweat it out at such jobs first. I ever packed airplane parts and car parts before in warehouses. Then I was sent to learn forklift and helped to place the pallets into the the container or onto lorries. The 8 hours every hour I will sweat one. There were 3 bosses there, so one day one of the bosses came to check our work at the warehouse. He said to us, we have to fasten a bit. Then my colleague (an old guy) said impossible because need to tally against the list, need to cross out the item from the incoming list and mark the outgoing list as we pack including the box number. Then I casually added: if we can automate then better. His eyes were like ok, how. I anyhow said, boss we go paperless. I said all these products got bar code, maybe we write a software with simple phone app to scan and the serial number will be saved into the excel sheet in the phone? we one scan can already. Save a lot of time doing thevtally as we pack. the bar code will be marked in the incoming sheet and the outgoing sheet it is removed, all autobot one. The boss smirked a bit then left.

Then next week came with big boss come (that's his mother, his dad had passed away). His mother asked me, u do can or not? I said can but can i do slowly as i one person. she said what do slowly, give you one month. I was like ummm.... then she chipped, you tmr follow me, you come cecil street work, she said.
