Any info yet as to which telcos will be getting our beloved GN in Jan? I'm guessing most likely Singtel for sure.

I gave up on local telcos lol.

Gonna sign line and sell phone away. I ordered GN on expansys, after reading that most readers got the yakju version from them. Keeping my fingers crossed, although actually I intend to root and probably won't be affected much :/

This has been a problem since honeycomb. Try adding .nomedia and then clear gallery cache and restart your phone. Can't guarantee it will work.

Yeah, I already tried the method you mention. But doesn't seems to work.

Can. Photo sync is a bit flaky though, and photos are really low res
Also, cannot view updates from the People app.

I think I will be trying romanbb's rom next, from the changelogs there are many nice improvements.

guys with root...is there a way to root without wiping? all the articles i see involve full wipe and i am not too inclined to do that.

Once you unlock bootloader, all data is wiped. There is no need to wipe if going to another ROM from stock.

Use a file manager like astro. Go to /system and open up build.prop with a text editor or viewer.

Browse and look for a line that says ro.build.fingerprint=xxxxx

There can see either "samsung/yakjuxw" or "google/yakju"
