any idea of the price?

anybody knows why GN sold on Expansys etc. are cheaper than the price Samsung announced? in my opinion, the current price should be much higher than the official, like what happened to iphone

Does it include CMSettings?

what cool features? i only see a status page nia...

I've unlock bootloader and temp boot into CWR and backup stock and flash CM9 on day 1, process took less than 3 minutes with proper setup and files ready.

One of the most obvious feature was to remove the search bar/ add power widget to notification/ set number of home screen and default on selected screen/ face unlock was implement back i think/ time lapse in camera mode / etc etc

Cool features from CM9 kangs from "fuzz"

PHP:
* Settings : Add CMSettings
* Settings : ADB Over Network ( need to modify init.rc as follows http://goo.gl/TCPmY )
* Settings : Hide Adb Notification
* Onscreen controls customization ( You know its NOT for Crespo,though... :p )
* Frameworks : Configurable 0, 90, 180 and 270 degree rotation
* Trebuchet : AppsCustomize : Generic Implementation
* Trebuchet : Revert Import on Demand
* Mms : SMS templates using gestures
* Mms : Added SMS Split by encoding and counter at end of message with settings
* Mms : Return to message list if the last message on thread is being deleted
* Camera : enable face detection
* ContactsProvider : Add Facebook contact sync support

The price on SGBest if you calculate including GST, would come around 950 SGD, which is very close to the official RRP. SGBest has its own 1 year warranty. so its like buying the product after the official launch at the official RRP. Obviously, after official launch, no one is going to the pay official RRP, the prices are usually lower than that...but for now, its high enough

Sets should be cheaper from shops like Mobyshop etc, since they do not charge you GST...

Expansys website mentions a defualt 3 months warranty on all their products, although I am not sure how it works,( as in do we have to send the set to Hong Kong or their shop has a branch in SG, I dont know).. Extended warranty of additional 12 months can be purchased from Expansys for about 47SGD...which will bring the price to exactly what SGBest is charging right now, or the official Samsung RRP..

Hope this clears some doubts! :)

Hi All, got my GNex a few days back. was wondering what screen protectors the current owners are using and from where they bought theirs? Saw a post about MF a few pages back but I don't believe its available here (well the phone itself isnt). Thanks in advance.

I finally received and installed my XO skin for the galaxy nexus today. It's my first wet install but I think I screwed it up. Still got many many bubbles on it.

I'll give it another 24 hrs according to the instructions and see if the bubbles do disappear over time.

If not, I'm heading to the doml.sg office near outram to buy the MF screen protector. Unfortunately according to someone in xda, the MF fits the screen exactly so the edges do not stick properly due the the curved screen.

From xda, it seems the bubbles should disappear by themselves.

Still waiting for my XO skin and TPU casing, about 3 weeks already :look:

SOP on getting the phone is to root and boot unlock right?
but doing so will void the warranty any way...
so getting export or local seems to make little difference already?
:p

Unlocking can be reverted to preserve warranty.
This of course will have no significance if the set doesn't have local warranty in the first place

Yup, woke up this morning and nearly all the bubbles are gone. Except for 2-3 tiny ones. And now only one bubble is left. So what they say is true.

Anyway here are my thoughts on the screen protector:

Installation wise is a little messy because you need to spray your fingers and the screen protector with their solution. It was my first time installing a wet screen protector so I had to remove parts of it a few times and kept on spraying the solution before I press the protector down again. While I use the plastic card they gave to push out the excess liquid, some of it went into the speaker, so I had to wait for 4-5 hours for it to dry before I dared to put in the battery.

The protector itself is clear and quite fingerprint resistant. Also oil resistant but if you use some force while sliding, you can still stain the protector with some streaks of oil.
However once there are smudges on the screen protector, you have to use a tissue or cloth to wipe them away. All in all, it prevents smudging much better than the cheapo one I had.

There is some slight orange peel texture, but very slight and doesn't bother me. Also I haven't allowed the screen to settle for 2-3 days yet, so it might get better over the next few days. If you scrutinize you will see that it's not as smooth as those dry protectors but I won't say it's a deal breaker.

It feels like squeaky glass while sliding. There's a slight resistance to the finger when sliding. I'll give it a few days to settle first. It is ok for most things but if you need to play games that need sliding gestures a lot, you may feel slightly uncomfortable trying to slide your finger. The effect is quite minimal actually but it does feel a little different from normal protectors.

The cut out fits the top and sides almost perfectly. Maybe 1mm or less from the edges. Unfortunately for mine, the bottom doesn't cover to the edge, maybe like 2-3mm from the bottom edge. I read that others have theirs to the edges all round, so maybe mine failed qc or something. Still not a big deal but even after putting a case on, I can see the edge of the screen protector at the bottom.

All in all, I would say that it's much better than your cheapo protector and even some of the branded dry protectors.

For those on Android 4.0.3 (IML74K), there's a new bootloader, PRIMEKL01. I just updated from PRIMEKK15.

Flash at your own risk =:p

@miyamiya Thanks for your personal observations on the SP. Some users in the XDA thread were claiming that the shorter version is the "case fit" version, and that XO Skins are sending them another version after they emailed them about the gap. Maybe worth a try? :)

The MF covers all the way to the edge but will lift up due to curvature of screen. Likewise for cheapo SP (such as those that comes with China casings). I just installed the SGP Ultra Oleophobic SP. Thankfully it is not cut like that used for Galaxy Note where it avoids the ear mic. However it is smaller such that it does not cover the edges by about 2mm to avoid the curvature (esp top & bottom). This guarantees that there won't be any lifting of the edges of the SP I guess.
