hello guys, i need some help here. My galaxy nexus just went totally dead (won't power on, can detect through com but it says This device cannot start. (Code 10)). The alarm was ringing then it just went dead :(

I will bring it back to samsung but my phone is rooted, is there anyway to restore my phone back to 'normal' even though i can't even access it?

At least try to see if it can boot up.

1. Take out battery wait 2 minutes then put back.
2. Press vol up and down and power buttons (all 3 at same time)
3. If it boot up and goes into boot loader. If you have CWR , try to select (fix permission)
4. Restart system see if it boot back into your rom
5. If cannot do a nandroid restore.
6. If still cannot boot up try to reset factor default in CWR and resart into rom
7. If cannot try to flash a stock image and boot.
8. If still cannot do a search in XDA for flashing via odin
9. If still cannot but can at least load into boot loader, flash a stock recovery and Lock phone (fastboot oem lock) before sending in to samsung.

fundamental question: Is your phone's battery totally flat ? If yes..just charge it for 15 min before trying to power up again..

if after charging 15 min still no sign of revival..Remove battery..if you have a multi Meter with you..Measure the battery terminal + and -, check the voltage..if the reading show below 3V, this will lead to Phone charger circuit refuse to charge with reasoning of faulty battery.. The battery is not totally dead..you can use resistor measurement mode /diode mode to measure the battery, the measurement involved pumping current to the battery which indirectly to change the locked state of battery protection.. if successfully done, you can see battery go back up at higher voltage and phone charger can take over the charging from there.

I used this method to revive phone batteries that phone charger refused to charge.

What u doing during those 15mins?

It's never about how much drain in how many minutes while you are using it - that's only applicable when it's in standby.

If you're using it, then u gotta say WHAT you were doing with it. Unless you're trying to say it drained 9% in standby in 15minutes?!?!?!

No software is bug-free.

AOSP roms definitely have bugs, just whether the bugs are bad enough to affect your daily use.

So far for AOSP roms, none.

Note: I have been using AOSP roms since day one.

But I look at the aokp rom page and some of the people inside are facing bugs issues. Are they still stable enough to use??

Yakjuxw will be released, but have to wait for 2-3 more weeks later. Just like when 4.0.2 ota is released for Yakju in mid Dec 2011, with Yakjuxw version released in first/second week Jan 2012.
