Android apps scaled by resolution so it doesn't matter if its a phone or tablet app, it just work unlike iOS which map pixel for pixel and look like crap if you do not have the correct version. The only thing is the icons will look big for a phone app on tablet, lol. Mainly use for surfing net, watch shows, recording down some stuffs with a bit of game here and there.

Point is not whether the app will look like crap, and most apps come in the 'correct version' for you on the iPad. Point is apps are not optimized for tablet usage on Android more often than not.

Also watch movies.

I use for presentation to clients - pdf, word, excel, powerpoint, maps...I'm the exception using android all my colleagues are using fruits.

It does seem like a Windows tablet would suit you better, doesn't it?

Just read about this about why no SD card expansion.
"It costs three cents to add the hardware for an SD slot. But Microsoft wants $15 for a license to the patent portfolio that includes ExFAT, which is required to use the SD branding"

But nonetheless still a wonderful device. Too bad Google can't release it to SG market as fast as Apple.

That's just the worst excuse ever. If the user is not ready to deal with the confusion, he/she does not have to put in a card at all. But to include a slot means the advanced users are given the option to expand the core functionality of the device.

if this Nexus 10 have options of S pen, and with this hi-res screen, this could kill off all the competitors.

Seems this comes with an LED notification light? Just noticed a small dot on the bottom bezel in some product photos

Enlighten me here guys, what do you guys do on Android 10" tablets? Run phone apps?
The more common tasks that I perform on my Note 10.1 include (i) taking meeting notes and syncing them to Evernote, (ii) surfing the web and reading RSS feeds while lounging around the house or when I'm out, (iii) reading e-magazines through Zinio, (iv) reading e-books, and (iv) checking email/facebook.

The Note 10.1 meets my needs very well. It is relatively light (good on the wrists), has an excellent wacom S-pen, has a reasonably large screen (7" is too small for e-magazines), is a very snappy device (makes surfing the web and performing other tasks a pleasure) and has good battery life (easily lasts a day which is all I need since I charge each night).

I'm happy to see the Nexus 10 having an incredibly high resolution screen, giving it bragging rights over the iPad but it doesn't hold much attraction for me given its lack of a wacom digitizer and SD card slot (not to mention the absence of 3G at launch).

In terms of Win 8 tablets, they did not exist when I got my Note 10.1 but even looking at the current offerings, most if not all of the ones with wacom digitizers appear to be larger and heavier than the Note 10.1 without offering significant additional benefits for my needs. After using a Lenovo Android Thinkpad tablet, I'm tired of heavy tablets :s13:

That's utter rubbish. You won't die without exfat support. If that's an excuse, then tell me why the Nexus One had a sd card slot. :D

I'm more incline to go with windows rt for work.
10" screen.. is nice to have but on android, it doesn't have any value unless you want a bigger screen

The RT also not very useful if the Office suite you need has Project and or Visio...

1. It's not tied to a bollard in America. You can use it anywhere you like.
2. It's for the same reasons they don't write about the box, instruction manuals, packaging. Don't worry, they haven't got to the point where it can charge via solar energy yet. :D The charger is in there.
