This is why I am comparing the Nexus line of tablets against the iPad 1. They both did not have many tablet optimized apps when they began. At this point in time, it is a disadvantage for Google, but I think that the increasing popularity of the android platform can work in Google's favor and encourage more developers to create tablet apps in a market which is relatively empty at the moment.

It also helps that the pricing is extremely affordable for a tablet of this spec. Unfortunately, one of Google's main issues now is improving its distribution channels so that we can Nexus products without paying the ridiculous markup that local distributors here add to it.
Let's hope so......but it's not the distribution channels that's the problem - Google won't sell their hardware at their rates unless they can sell media here as well.

Even with just one of their 3 media groups open to sales here, there will be a high chance that Google will then open their products for sale from Play Store here (like Japan - they only have Google Books but the Nexus range is sold direct there). :( Just look at the countries which the Nexus models are sold - All of them have 1 common point.

Either the market here is too small for Google to negotiate with the content rights holders, or the rights holders are greedy. I can't decide which. :(

There are lots of rich people in Singapore... Google should open the Play Store here, it'd definitely attract a lot of sales.

I doubt it's Google not wanting to do it - they get a big cut for something they just need to flick a switch to activate. Must be those damn content holders. :(

what about those apps that are optimized for tablet. Will they look stretch in Nexus 10 resolution?

no, they won't look stretched because the ratio is maintained - just don't expect them to look better than on a normal 10" tablet if they are not specially written to cater for the higher resol of the Nexus 10

You see? Just because it gave a better review suddenly the site is less biased. :D

You biased lah. :D

Ha ha.. not really. The Verge is more biased towards Apple, which a lot of people observed, so he is not really wrong. But all reviews are just people's opinion. And people tends to be biased, no matter what. So it is up to what you want. If you like something, go ahead and get it, no matter how are the reviews. Because you will accept and adapt to the flaws that comes with it. :s13:

Yeah...."a lot of" those same few nuts. Their main editor is crazy over Android and the Galaxy Nexus but those nuts still say Verge is biased towards Apple. Not to mention the recent comments from the Apple loving crowd that they gave Google a wide berth over the Nexus 4 lacking LTE because of the exclusive access. So who the hell does the Verge favor? It all depends on which rabid crowd you ask.

I guess you can't please those fanboys. As long as something doesn't please them, they'll bend whatever is out there to suit their arguments. :D But I guess it's in most people's nature to not look at both sides of the coin, only at what pleases them. :(
