Dear all ask about my amazon order. When I select the Nexus and estimated shopping shows $10.38, but I though is free for Singapore address? How and what should I do to get free shipping? Thanks from Sam

Amazon is currently out of stock of 32Gb, and so it switches to one of their marketplace (it's similar to eBay) sellers instead - if you buy this way, you're *not* buying from Amazon but from a private seller.

On the right side of the page, under 'more buying options' you'll see amazon.com there if you wish to backorder it from Amazon and with free shipping.

Today Google has brought back the ability to make phone calls from desktop Gmail, Google+ and via its Chrome extension, and also announced that calls to the US and Canada are free (from countries where Hangouts calling is available. The feature disappeared when Google introduced its new Hangouts setup, but a post on the Gmail blog claims that now it's better than ever.

just use it, or charge while u use if you wanna fully charge it.. doesn't really matter

There should be ard half-charge on it so there's no harm to use it for a while just to test that it's working fine. But don't run the battery down all the way to zero.

Generally, lithium batteries should be recharged when they fall to ard 25%-30%. Once a month, u can run it down lower, to ard 5% just to reset the battery calibration. I also wouldn't advice using AND charging at the same time bec it may screw up the calibration

Try using the SSN found on the N7 box

My registration went through after some trial and error. The damn zero looks like the alphabet "O" on my SSN. And yeah, like qrsy2k mentioned, use the long SSN on the box. The serial number you see in your tablet's settings won't work.

Asus categorises their tablets under Eee pad.

read the warranty booklet inside the box, seems like its covered in sg too...

Haha. I am very skeptical about the battery calibration part. Saw it a few times, but dun think will calibrate much.

oh ya some heads up.

some time back i had issues with the NMI reading external usb drives as protected. the recommended methods did not work for me

Use skype. I also used it to call Google Play Support no problem

by the way, understand it is the shipment fee is free but are we going to charge for Tax? In the email it stated Total before Tax is $269. I hope there isn't any tax from US side.

No US taxes if you're shipping directly from Amazon to SG, but if your total order (and shipping cost, if any) exceeds SGD400, you'll usually have to pay GST when your item arrives.

Are you sure? FSSG cannot be so fast.. even from amazon to CGW to reach local shores takes about 3-4 days..
