yah no sound. erm not v sure the codec is ATSC A/52A (AC-3) the sample rate is 48000 kHz and the channels is 5.1 channel (just spamming all the info hopefully one of them answers your qtn) and yah the video is MKV
From what I read, you probably have to force the audio to be decoded by SW if you are using MX player.

If you want a one-click tool, then look at WugFresh's Nexus Root Toolkit. It now supports Android 4.3. But I still recommend the manual way because you will learn more and understand how rooting is done.

went to 100am mall. tried the nexus 7 2013. I am sold!
its so much thinner and lighter, easily one handable. definitely buying the 4g version when its out!
btw the shop at 2nd floor sells at pretty reasonable price. 339 for 16gb and 399 for 32gb
did the maths, (229 + 24 Comgateway ) * 1.3 usd to sgd = $328.90
10 bucks pretty reasonable.

The conversion rate is pretty much spot on, but shipping is usually US$16. The real price is more likely around $320. Buying from the shop means you do get it on the spot though, and that's a pretty good deal right there, even @ $20 more.

What does rooting provide for a Nexus device? I thought Nexus devices already has the latest Google Android updates, or does rooting open new possibilites (ie. jailbreaking)?

rooting allows you to access to the system files, edit dpi and stuff. Allows you to flash custom roms as well. Basically unlock it so that you can edit its core files. If you are not sure what it is, read up xda forum.

my friend also can't stand yellowish so decided to flash custom kernel to tweak the tint..
well, with root can use Stickmount + OTG + USB storage works.. and free
still need to buy accessories to be eligible for the promo right? anyway good for those who wanted cases/screen prot anyway.. I'm a non-believer in cases/SP..
