Pasted the clear screen protector and removed it after 15 seconds. Screen is not as sharp as before and the smooth feeling of tapping on the screen is gone. Shall use it naked for now, til a good screen protector comes along.

Just collected my case from OneSurface. 9 colours to choose from. Saw this design before on EBay.

What I like about this case:
1) It doesn't cover the bezel at all.
2) Magnetic cover works and wakes and put the screen to sleep.
3) All the ports are covered and easily accessed.
4) Should be one of the slimiest case available right now.

Cons of this case:
1) The additional flap at the side is abit annoying and doesn't feel good when you flip it to the back when using the tablet.
2) Takes some time to fold the cover to become a stand. Abit filmsy.
3) Quality is pretty average. Material doesn't seem like it will hold up over time.

It's selling at $20 and comes with a free clear/matte screen protector. Shall paste it tonight. Hopefully it doesn't have any rainbow lines that's often seen on lousy quality screen protectors.

same thing. i got mine from opensurface this evening. i kinda like the material and it feels good. i compared this to my 1st Gen Poetic case and i actually like the soft feel of the case opensurface is selling. For the stand, its a 7" and its not heavy, i prefer to just hold it and watch my videos. Nevertheless, good service by them! highly recommended!

I got my 16GB from the shop too. Initially wanted to wait for the LTE version but got the WiFi instead, can save the multi sim monthly subscription.

Currently sourcing for a nice flip case at local stores but all yet to have at the moment.

Ya, finally cancelled my multi sim and saving $10.70 monthly.

I have a system update prompt out of the box and I have yet to update. In the previous post, someone mentioned about the problem of some users encountered the multi touch issue with this new update version.

Anyone encounter adverse issue after updating?

I don't encounter it after updating. Anyway, I flashed custom ROM. If you face that issue, either wait for an update or just flash custom ROM

Upon booting up (out of box) and connected to wifi, it immediately updated (a patch, maybe) and I read the FW as JWR66N. After a quick setup, I went to About and checked for FW update, and one was available again. I downloaded and installed, and t he FW read as JSS15J. As someone has recommended, after the FW update, I immediately did a full reset. My N7 is running well (touch wood) with no problems on GPS or multi-touch.

Yes but I think u have to dl the asus media importer app.

I bought the Nexus Media Importer from PlayStore for US$5 and it does work well on the Nexus 7 (without root)

hopefully they got enough time to deliver to me. sunday traffic still okay. should be able to get it.

Went to Best Denki to test the old 7" nexus, initially felt small. But it feels good in the hand, so much lighter than my iPad4. Definitely will be bring it to school to view my files and documents. No need to print or lug my heavy laptop.

Can use as GPS and in car entertainment too.

Good buy!
