The problem is with Android, different devices from different manufacturers have different methods. Nexus is ok, they mostly unlock/root the same way, but u throw in non-Nexus device, it's an epic headache.

The one I hate most is HTC. Not sure if they've improved in anyway, but their gold card mess p*ssed me off that I'll never get their non-Nexus models EVER again.

Do you guys know how to access the settings whereby you enable only hspda connection instead of the gprs and 3g? Other android phones have the keyboard .apk to key in the code to access the settings. But Nexus 7 don't have a keyboard apk file.

You can search "hidden menus" or "secret code" on play store.
There are app that can direct access the *#*#4636#*#*

But take note that most of these app able to access more than one secret code and some secret code are device dependent and may harmful to Nexus 7.

I tried this app "Hidden Menus" and *#*#4636#*#* worked fine for me. I didn't tried other code.

Yes. But I don't think you wanna recycle. The thoughts of it taking out and repasting it i rather get a new one.

Quite a handful of people reported on xda that they a experiencing random reboots on their nexus 7 with android Os 4.2. Most popular speculation causing the issue is that pertaining to apps with lock screen widgets. Are you having any apps with lock screen widgets? Try removing the widgets/uninstall the app and monitor again. Seems to be an OS issue at the moment. Check out xda thread to find out more details. I myself haven't experienced any random reboots... Yet . haha

Anybody bought any portable battery? Got any battery to recommend? Currently I'm using some China brand 10800mAh. But the power loss is insane. I could only charge if my calculations are right, I could charge about 5200mAh nia.

Also, they offer only 4G version, Will this work with 3G networks in Singapore and outside?

mine was some 20,000mah china brand charger as well which i don't think it's able to charge 10,000mah.

1.8kg for mine, was charged based on 2kg vol weight
