just got a Nexus S from a fellow forumer here, he says the 2.3.3 firmware makes the screen go yellowish tint, anyone can confirm this? wondering if i should make the update... before i do rooting.. but i do see a superuser app in the phone already, so do i still need to do the rooting?

If you got superuser means you should be rooted. Just to be sure, hold the power button and look out for a "Reboot" option. If you see it, means rooted already. As for the yellow screen, go download Netarchy's kernel in XDA, and use Voodoo control app on the market to adjust the tint if you find it too yellowish for your taste.
yes the yellow tint is real, but my phone got a very noticeable blue tint when i first got it, the yellow tint is alot less visible, for me at least. imo better to flash before your eyes get used to the blue tint. again imo, the colours look more natural now, greys are really greys, not purplish, but white carry a tad of yellow tint. although some say it negates the benefit of a s.amoled panel, i cant see much difference the two tbh, maybe i got less fussy eyes.

been checkin alot, motnproblem, did u enable Agps for better transmission?
Yes..enabled location service -both gps & wifi/3g....on my nexus one..the location detection with 3g is very fast..with nexus S..detection is intermittent..dont know samsung chipset problem or what..
are you using 2.3.3 ..i dont have problem with 2.3.2
did u update the new radio for better transmission?

wow, finally rooted my phone with unlocked bootloader, had to search high and over to know that i've to install pdanet drivers in order to detect my Nexus S in fastboot mode...
maybe this is a stupid question, but do i have to update to 2.3.3 then flash CM7 nightly or i can just flash CM7 nightly ROMs straight from 2.3.2 and get 2.3.3?

okay i tried flashing CM7 #12 and it goes to endless looping of the skateboard loading screen.. had to take out the battery to stop and tried again to no avail.. anyone has any idea? or i should just flash to #11 instead?

yea, not too sure abt that, but i lost like 12% since 2 hours ago le... seen some comments on xda that they prefer #11 over #12 also.. wondering if i should flash to #11 instead.. since most themes are made for #11.. i want the matte blue theme! lol

#13 is out, and I just flashed it.No problems so far, and they updated their gapps.
grrr.. what's with CM7? they going crazy releasing flashes? but i think #11, #12 and #13 has not much differences? anyway flashing these won't require a wipe, go home then flash.. lol

It's called a NIGHTLY. You do know what you are flashing right? If you don't want to flash a nightly, please stick to the RC1.
