After owning my first smartphone for 5 months plus, namely Htc Desire, I'm considering the following as upgrades :

1) bigger 4 inch screen (check)
2) better display (check for s.amoled, but since Iphone raised the bar with retina, this is a half check. I like seeing my phone at 10 cm distance )
3) faster internet connection (n.a. as the real problem is the network I.e. lte/4g)
4) better battery ( don't know)
5) better camera/vid (don't know)

Huh? Reading at 10cm away? That is v near le. I think lasik may help.

lol, lasik wont help but he may need a lasik after reading 10cm away all the time ....

guys anyone got experience before the thumbnails in the 3D gallery app got mixed up with other pictures randomly? i.e. thumbnails of the camera folder showing pictures in other folders

I think it happened when I did restore using titanium backup. i dont know what affected the gallery app

for those who are still using stock android, have you received the OTA for 2.3.3 yet?

i know there's the manual update but lets just say i'm a little more kiasu with this phone to do any manual updating

It takes time for it to be rolled out. You can force a check in your settings, but if your phone sees nothing, you still have to wait.

Then just download the file lar. If it's available there and then, why not? It's not like the manual method is unsafe or something.

It's hard to explain to them that the manual method is actually exactly the same way the system updates itself.

Or they just wanna see the OTA notification.
