Actually no. Never install any TPG app. Just take out my M1 and replace with TPG sim then configure the apn and stuff.

Just use Phone app that comes with andriod and call like any normal phone. Of course, call voice quality not great.

Yes TPG calling doesn't work currently because TPG only has 4G network unlike the others with their legacy 3G network to fall back on for calls. So if TPG doesn't support volte for your phone currently, u have to use their 4G Voice app to make/receive calls. Which doesn't work for Android 11 yet. The reason why your A1 can make/receive calls no issue is cause it's volte-supported by TPG. So right now I'm just bearing with WhatsApp or messenger calls while TPG updates their bloody app to support Android 11.

I think the 2 biggest downside of 4 compared to 4a is the worse battery life (smaller battery & more powerful SoC) and that it's already 1 year into it's supported duration. It also has a slightly smaller screen and 64gb base storage.

Biggest pros are obviously the performance and 90hz refresh rate. If u are a heavy user or gamer then you may appreciate these more.

I will recommend 4a over 4 at similar prices unless you really need the performance.

Don't know anything about battery cases but it's a very popular phone so I think high chance will have.

I think 4a is nice with 128gb, 64gb hardly survive for me lol.

3a not popular, so didnt have battery case.

It works. Data and SMS anyway. No volte support by TPG (and M1) for p4a yet, so no calls can be received or made under TPG with p4a. Their volte app also haven't update to work with Android 11. I making do with WhatsApp calls for now, but my patience wearing thin after what their "developers" copy-paste as their response to my play store comments.
