Sad that it need some special telco configuration or approval to use our local 5G network, same as setting for VoLTE and VoWiFi for some export set model, it simply don’t activate by default unless local set or telco don’t support certain model. Not in the control of our device setting is :(

I also don’t understand why google is holding back the release of 4a 5G and 5 5G here, weird marketing choice.

At least the volte works on singtel and starhub on my 4a 5g and 5. M1 is none

Wondering if anyone tried to upgrade their Singtel plan to 5G and use their Pixel 5 to validate that it can work on 5G network?

I heard from the Singtel staff that if someone purchase any 5G phone outside of Singtel shop, they will still need to upgrade their plan to 5G in order for the phone to work with 5G, no need to replace SIM card....not sure how true this is and anyone has tried.

I'm on Singtel 5G plan and it doesn't support.
my guess is that the device must be sold in Singapore = "approve 5g device".

Google need to enter SG carriers information for 5G to work, has been discussed in xda and confirmed. So far they only support carriers on those launched countries. when they will add in SG is unknown for now.

I heard only P5 sets from US can support 5G in sg. Sets from other countries will not. Anyone can verify this?

This is a mmWave vs Sub-6GHz issue.
Go read on it, you understand why.

Amazon uk dont have stock for sage right? all i see are higher prices that MSRP leh.
Clove uk or amazon uk, which is better? or nil negative reviews from either?
only difference is GST added on check out (Amazon uk) or after reach sg need to pay gst (Clove)?
