also looking forward to the local price...

If rumors are true that the Pixel 5 will use a 768G Processor, max I'm willing to spend on this phone is S$800!

OnePlus Nord (Snapdragon 765G) is presently at S$650

If priced more than S$800, I'm buying the Note 20 Ultra.

Pixel 5 wouldn't be release in Singapore.
Had to factor in conversion rate, gst and shipping fees.

Google keeps messing up. should put pixel phones in all countries google store. Want to compete apple and samsung and only ship to a handful of countries. And we want the phones, have then import and pay ridiculous fees...:s8:

I think Google making phone is to showcase only. Not to compete with Samsung. Else Samsung and the other Android phone makers will be unhappy.

How I wish Google will make an U-turn to release Pixel 5 in Singapore instead.

Google Pixel 5 leak shows off speckled rear, ‘5s’ possibly distinguishes between 5G models

No idea why the hype of bigger/ larger megapixels is back, making the rear camera bump so huge.

Google has never sold everything in every country.

Their chromebooks are an eg. U can say the product don't sell well they won't bring in. Only those accessories they will sell unlimited

Probably another flop, google don't have hardware technicality or ability to fight toe to toe with apple, samsung or any premium chinese flagships. Better stay in the mid range where it is strongest at.

Example see their camera wizardry on a very old but top tier 12mp sensor, will take some time till they are able to optimise processing all the 64mp/105mp images from newer hardware.

They bought out Motorola and HTC, dunno where those hardware divisions to produce proper credible competing tech hardware in their phones went to :s11:

All chasing megapixel at the expense of smaller microns. The phone makers also know the negative side, that's why default setting on phones with large megapixel sensors default to pixel binning.

Unless they use bigger sensor, I rather they continue with sensor with larger microns.

probably management doesn't want to spend money on "fancy" hardware like ceramic coating, those fancy dazzling coating. May overshadow their software if they keep emphasising those top of the line hardware

Went to message them (teampixel.sg) on IG and asked them about the Pixel 5 availability in Singapore.

Hello! Thank you for your interest! As of now we don't have final information regarding the Pixel 5 coming to Singapore. Please stay tuned for the global announcement on 1st October. But for us it is 2am Singapore time.

There may be a chance they will bring it in...Pixel 4a selling quite well here.

If Pixel 5 rumoured specs are true, it may be cheaper than iPhone 11/12 and a lot of ppl will get. After all, most consumers go for camera and GCam has proven to be better than iOS
