the strangest is, p5 using same cam sensor, 4k60 video rec support using a 765g, but 855 cannot? :s11:
wth google :s22:

Maybe they lowered the bit-rate when record in 4k60. This happens in traditional camera too.

Tbf, when they announced P4a, they did not expect it to sell so well in SG till the point that they have to keep bringing in stocks. Which may be the reason why they say they won't bring 4a 5G and 5.

But my gut feel, if they do bring in, at most is one of the two only

I recall reading an xda article. Think Google doesn't provide 4k60 video because of the telephoto camera.

They cited the lack of full 5g coverage until almost 2025 during the 4a launch announcement.
its blog post announcing the Pixel 4a, Google also teased its next Pixel 5 smartphone, which will have 5G connectivity. This flagship model will be joined by a 5G version of the Pixel 4a, starting from US$499 (S$687). Both of these upcoming phones will not be sold in Singapore. Instead, they will be launched later this year in nine markets, with Google promising to reveal more details in the coming months.

A Google spokesman told The Straits Times that the tech firm decided not to make its 5G-capable Pixel phones available in Singapore based on "a variety of factors, including local market trends and product features". Singapore is targeting nationwide 5G coverage for half the island by end-2022 and the entire island by 2025.

So this year confirm will not release Pixel 5XL?

Disappointing strategy this year by Google, lets see if they sub-par hardware but focused on software plan will work out. :s22:

Based on the leaks, 4a 5G is essentially the XL model this year

They've trying this for the last 5 years, but still can't sell well :s22:

But tiagong this year's phone is going to cost USD$ 620, so maybe :s8:

That's because they come up with weird hardware that no one wants... eg. Pixel 4XL with telephoto zoom when industry is doing wide angle camera, soli radar with gesture control... Pixel 3XL with stoopid sized notch... sub par battery etc... :s11:

Stick to the formula like Apple! Change and give good basic hardware (256gb!), already have industry following Android software without the bloat plus bring back free google photos full res backup. People wont mind paying if its a good combination...

Then have the non XL at reduced price...

I think the new galaxy fan edition will eat into the pixel/one plus marketshare.
The pricing, features, display, cameras, colors etc all seem to be on point with that phone

Perhaps the pricing is something like that:

Pixel 4a - $349
Pixel 4a (5G) - $499
Pixel 5 - $599
Pixel 5 (5G) - $699
