I've ordered many items from all over Europe that ship thru DHL and they route all of them through Leipzig as that is their European hub and also their HQ (DHL is a german company). This is normal and many other courier/shipping companies have their main hub on every continent.

DHL often files for customs clearance ahead of arrival. This is normal too. So when the parcel touches down in SG, it will be fast tracked to their sorting facility in SG ready for local delivery.
