Those who bought pixel 4a 5g from amazon UK. Is the final price about s$768?

I just found out it cost us$499 from US amazon to ship to US address, then maybe less than $20 to forward to SG. Total cost less than s$700.
Wonder why you guys opt for UK set instead of US set? Can enlighten me please?

Go with priority, not much difference in pricing and u get your phone alot faster. The urge to get the new phone is intolerable

Wouldn’t you be hit with double tax this way? Pay tax in US, and then pay tax again when shipping to Singapore. Is it cheaper..?

I guess buying from Amazon UK gives you at least the convenience of not having to separately arrange for forwarding. It ships directly to Singapore.

The main thing is the support. If you use a forwarder, if anything wrong with the device and you want to send it back, it's gonna be a pain. For Amazon UK for example, you'll be dealing with Amazon instead of google, and Amazon customer service is good. Not to mention UK set will have 2 years warranty, and the charger is 3 pin like SG also.

should be the case. My previous experience with amazon was on the US side. Bought a phone and it had some minor cosmetic defects out of the box, and they offered me 2 options. To return the item for a full refund with them taking care of the return shipping charges, or to keep the item and get a partial refund. I haven't encountered any instances where major issue cropped up further down the line though, so not sure how the process will be for those cases, but I'm guessing will be the same? Maybe anyone who has experience can chip in for that.

Mine received from amazon uk since Thursday
So far not very impressed, felt more like downgrade
The back of the phone is definitely grippy and more premium than 4a
Battery life is not as good as 8hr SOT
But I'm still monitoring....
My usage consider heavy?
Force 90hz, aod on, youtube vance streaming
Speaker is cui, really no power and only acceptable
Surprisingly no more lag and very smooth compare to 2xl
And the fabric case is nice but in practical is too slippery, everytime I hold my phone get heart attack...gonna sell the case at carousel soon

Might consider p5 or xperia 5ii or 8pro
