Cannot be 799, if direct convert 599 usd plus tax is $900++

Posted from PCWX using SM-N9860

Japan 10% VAT, Taiwan 5% VAT if i remembered correctly.
and both still well under 900.. so...
canadian p5 only 799.. which is slightly above 800

imho.. me think the chance of google bringing in to sg is near zero. google pls proof me wrong.. please...

i believe wideminds provide outsource logistics and maybe imda certification and compliance.. they are not the decision maker. more like google ask them to do then they do.

it all goes down to google don't value Singapore market when it comes to hardware.. cos really too small .. we small red dot :(

i had to climb knife mountain and dive fire sea when I went sourcing for titan security keys

I don't quite understand why Google avoids the high-end market, as they certainly have the resources to compete with Samsung and Apple.

Singapore is not small. Otherwise we won't have 3 Apple stores!

I also dont know why.
We have a ******* Google HQ office here serving the SEA region.
We are one of the first few countries where they rollout Google Pay in Flutter.
Cannot be their marketing team no intention to sell here at all

If we think of the mobile phone segmentation by brands in SG: apple at least 30-40%, samsung at least 30%, remaining 40% would be shared with other brands like Huawei Xiaomi, Sony, Oppo, OP, google etc... I think pixel users only stand a few % of sg market. Thus, google is forgoing SG this time round even though SG has always been the only SEA market that receives google products for the past few years.

I don't think google is not smart, I think they are not even trying at all :s13: Even the Nest Audio only has 2 colours available here, tmd.

is because their trial with singtel and starhub in pixel 3/3 xl sales failed badly due to the horrendous notch design. p1-p4 somehow all have design/some quality issues.

I think it's wise to wait till Nov, not because it will come to SG, but because of Black Friday or 11/11. It's not like you can get the phones wayyy before Nov too even if you order now.

Google can only blame themselves.

Pixel 2 xl was the only legit phone i think.

Pixel 3 -> ugly notch and expensive
Pixel 4 -> stupid radar sensor which no one cares and expensive and battery life cui

They got two iterations to improve their phone and win the people's heart but they keep doing weird ****. Now it looks like they gonna mess up pixel 5 as well. So less and less people will buy.

I have a feeling they have some internal management issue, either with product team or marketing team.
Thats why every year like fu3k up

iphone and samsung still the major market share here, not sure how much also but your guess is about there i think as most of my friends either samsung or iphone (lesser now as compare to the past, maybe too ex?)

google can only blame themselves for half baked pixel even after so many many trial years since nexus era.

seriously i think google pixel 4a 5g is actually a better choice. why you all getting pixel 5 instead? bigger screen, same camera and cheaper. in fact i feel it should be called pixel 5xl lite :o i personally feel not worth to pay higher $$$ to sd765g but maybe it's just me~
