Was clearing up and found out that 5 years ago I bought a Nexus 6P at $899.

So actually it wont be that bad to fork 100 more for

8GB RAM 128GB storage
90Hz
Dual cameras
5G (?)

still haven't found a compelling reason to upgrade to P5 from P3

1) the width of the display is 1mm wider only.. from P3 to P5. taller display doesn't really do much
2) main camera same same between the two
3) wide camera more or less useless during covit19 as this year end holiday is canned
4) 5G.. what 5G?
5) same no warranty as my out of warranty P3

Advantage for P5
1) new battery, much bigger battery (P3 battery a bit cui already. 80+% at 9am, will be 30+% by 5pm). But then again, work from home doesn't really matter also
2) better display. but then again P3 display is no runover
3) 3 full years of updates.. vs 1 year left for P3

Advantage for P3
1) The front dual selfie camera is a sure winner!
2) Solid front facing stereo speakers
3) unlimited full image and video backups! untill Jan 2022

haiz... 1st world problems.

Google should at least offer 5 years of updates to the pixel ...

So far experiened on galaxy nexus,n4,n6,n6P,n5x, now even p3 starting to bloat... :s22:

so 3 year update i think is reasonable.

P2XL was a one off.. replaced battery near the end of it's 2 year warranty. So my P2XL battery is actually newer than my P3.

oh.. i forgot... one big advantage is that P3 still have unlimited full quality backup. I take video in 4K just to abuse it.... LOL
