Maybe Google thinks that Us and JPN are the best markets for the pixel 5a. The chip shortage is real, so possibly google might lack enough stock of 5as and therefore will only sell in the markets where it does well.

BTW, if you want to keep free google photos backup after 1st june, go buy a pixel phone now, 5a and 6 will not have this build in, even for high quality. Second hand will work.

No wonder the blue pixel 4a only available in US and Japan. They already pre-selected their market
