Hi everyone. I actually need help on my Google Pixel 6 Pro Japan set. I read on XDA that you can covert it to Global rom. The steps looks complicated to me even though I have flashed roms before. I would prefer a global or other roms because with the Japan rom. The camera shutter sound couldn't be switched off. Can anyone kindly help me? Bu the way, my phone is still on Android 13. Thanks...

One more question. For local Pixel 6 Pro. What's the model number? GLUOG or G8VOU? Thanks...

Thanks for sharing. So for my Japan GF5KQ Pixel 6 Pro which has 5G mmWave for me to convert. Should I convert it to the USA G8VOU or the International GLUOG? Which one is preferred ? Thanks...

Take a look below and decide for yourself. as @xonix shared the article above, it doesn't matter if mm5wave is available

Thsnk you for always having a prompt reply. I saw the video. I'm just wondering if Singapore is using 5G mmWave. If it doesn't, then I will convert my Japan Pixel 6 Pro to the International/Singapore Model ID. For me most importantly, I want to be able to switch off the camera shutter sound and of cos receive OTA updates. Thanks...

Since SG doesn't use it, having mmWave capability seems pointless. however, i understand that if the hardware supports it, it would be a waste to go international and lose mmWave capability

I agree with what you said. But if I convert it to Model ID G8VOU. Will I be able to use local telcos 5G?

Certainly
That's good to know that I'll be able to use local 5G telcos with US G8VOU Model ID. I think most likely I will convert to G8VOU instead of GLUOG. Thank you so much for helping me out...

You can use 5g with no issues, even though it only shows GLU0G

Thanks for sharing. You mean I will only see G8VOU? Because as stated in my last post, I've decided to convert it to G8VOU instead of GLUOG. As long G8VOU can use our local telcos 5G. I will convert to G8VOU instead since my Pixel 6 Pro is the Sorta Sunny colour and it only comes in the Japan and USA Model ID...
