precisely... if this phone not for u just move on la. dont need criticize the phone just because of refresh rate.

want buy just buy and try, dont like just sell it. With the fitbit promo, i doubt will lose much even if u sell the phone. , dont need ask tons of questions here and there, in the end say no 120hz no talk :s22: then never hoot in the end

But too late liao, promo over. so even if tempted, also gg liao
I just try the phone and think through, 60hz really not for me … don’t need suan until like that leh … o_O and I only replied to your post when you said it’s good to have 90hz

Isn't this what everyone is going through? Screen is what we interact with ma?

Phones at least 60hz still more rampant. And the option to not turn on 90/120hz immediately....

I really just think on the topic of refresh rates, if it's an option, we can decide to use it or not. Somehow I don't feel much difference on the 120hz, but then again, on my F3, think later I go turn on or something, but I'm mainly using for social networks and light gaming.

Where to see the most obvious difference from a 60hz?

Good thing is I am going from Pixel 2 XL to the Pixel 6a. Size is about the same.
For me just scrolling on social media can see the difference in refresh rate liao lolol. :s13:

If u want similar size then p2xl to 6a is a decent overall upgrade since is bezel-less screen. I cannot stand screen with notch (top or bottom) v big wastage of screen estate

Can go back to the refresh rate discussion? lolol. Think 60hz is fine for 6a. iPhone 13 also 60hz mah. only Google and Apple can afford to do 60hz since their UI would have the least stutters (I hope).

I think no need to stress yourself out over one feature of a phone la. Like some have said, it's a good to have, but not a must. I am not very old, but have grown up staring at 60hz TVs and monitors my whole life. Only recently I "upgraded" to a 144hz monitor (even then my other screens are still 60hz).

More importantly, we don't need Google or whomever to put high refresh rate for the sake of it... which is what almost every other Android manufacturer is doing? "Here is 120hz AMOLED screen!"... oh okay but you either pick 60 or 120 with no inbetween (and even if there is an Auto mode the 120hz gets castrasted to the point of not having it)...

last point is personally, 90hz is a sweet spot. I'll take 90hz any day to save cost lol. There was a video from an Indian youtuber who showed that 60hz to 90hz your eyes can see double the speed, but 90hz to 120hz is less than half of double the speed.

don't chase technology for the sake of numbers, it should make sense to our needs and uses. and if the tech is being taken advantage of by brands to upsell unneccessarily, then we will always be stuck in a cycle where we get less than we pay for (which is the theme of 2022 phones)

Frankly I feel 60hz is not a deal breaker for me bc I only feel that tiny bit of difference only. But it likely won't age well nx 1-2yrs with the lags coming in... Even iphone also got lag one this one idk need repeat how many times :s22:

That said, 90hz should be the minimum in this 2022 era since higher refresh rate screen on smartphone is already a 5yrs tech le

Finally u all need to understand that P6a series is not meant for those who want the forefront of the latest android tech. Like u all use s22 or equivalent flagship tier phones to compare with this poor P6a then ofc cannot take it one :s22:

P6a is keeping the essential blueprints of P6 while keeping price lower for those who just need a basic functional phone yet with decent camera. Basically to target the iphone mini/se and android midrangers  I feel it's a no brainer to get this phone as the best midranger; unless camera is not imptt then there are cheaper options out there :o

Aiyo. Already mentioned liao, considering selling off the fitbit, still worth it, but definitely not at 749. This price i confirm wont buy.
Maybe I should also keep repeating how cheap I paid for the phone when I minus shopee vouchers, sell Fitbit, get shopback cashback, then free casing and taka voucher by attending teampixel event etc...... Hahaha

The price is a deal breaker
agree with this but you-pay-for-you-get right?

same price can get you some china-branded flagship killer phone but not sure how fast their OS update are and buggy (i looking at your XM :s13: )

Of course, y'all can opt for Pixel 6 which on promo now.

Just saying :)

Precisely... Keep repeating about price is high, 60hz refresh rate :s22:

There are phones with 120hz at this pricepoint, but definitely will cut corners somewhere like cameras, processors, software etc..
