I can get 5hrs on the regular Pixel with Google Assistant turned off. Not trying to conserve battery life. Just don't quite fancy talking to a phone.

Have u tried using lock screen app? Which one works with nougat?

I using tronsmart charger bought from alibaba. I checked the model was certified qc3.0 by Qualcomm before I bought.
Even the Qualcomm site linked the tronsmart sales site to alibaba.
Tried S7e adapter and cable + C adapter and manage to get rapid charging notification

That's interesting. S7e uses qualcomm quickcharge and not USB-C PD. It's strange that the Pixel reported rapid charging when using a non USB-C PD charger
