Do you have Google Assistant turned on..?

I can get 5hrs on the regular Pixel with Google Assistant turned off. Not trying to conserve battery life. Just don't quite fancy talking to a phone.

i read somewhere it say google pixel using a different fast charge from samsung

5V 3 Amp charger should work

Yep pixel using open standard, samsung is using proprietary tech

I'm using a no-brand quick charge 2.0 adapter and micro USB cable with C adapter

Was able to get fast charging on S7e and XZ

But not on Pixel.

Tried S7e adapter and cable + C adapter and manage to get rapid charging notification

None will work properly without root. It has been this way since M not just N, since Google never released an API for the smart lock.

I'm using the aukey qc3.0 charger with belkin type a to c cable. Charging rapidly as shown. Haha.

Only tried iPad charger with Google certified USB C to a cable. Can charge normally, luckily not charge slowly.

I using tronsmart charger bought from alibaba. I checked the model was certified qc3.0 by Qualcomm before I bought.

Even the Qualcomm site linked the tronsmart sales site to alibaba.

Which model? Hopefully, it's not this one "Type C Charger,Tronsmart 33W Dual USB Wall Charger with Quick Charge 3.0", model number: W2PTU.

That's interesting. S7e uses qualcomm quickcharge and not USB-C PD. It's strange that the Pixel reported rapid charging when using a non USB-C PD charger

Rapid charging is just the text version of saying the charge rate is at least a certain mA rating in layman words rather than giving you the current rating.

Truth is you need to compare how many mA the google charger will provide vs. a different one. An app like Ampere will serve that purpose for the basics.

It will show rapid charging once it hits > 2 amps i think..

just curious coz i read in android forum about batteries should be be fully drain before charging it. or else it will damage it..
coz i always drain my pixel battery to 1% before i plug it...
is that true with lithium batteries?
