Mine.

I think it started with Android 8.0 update, but I feel it's more of a hardware issue rather than software.

I am using phone lock app to lock/display sleep my phone now.
Oh man I also not sure whether it's hardware or software but seems to be worse after the update. More just think too much. Anywhere can fix or replace it?

Ideally it needs to be sent back to Google for repair but as far as we know, Google SG doesn't handle Pixels since they didn't bring it here.

I don't think any ah beng shops can handle repairs for Pixels. I will attempt to downgrade back to Android 7.0 in a couple of weeks' time. I will come back here with the results.

Found a couple of repair shops quoted $88-98 just to repair microphone. Is that really worth? :(

That's the price to pay for getting ourselves a phone without local support.

Hmm do let me know. Now seems like my phone randomly restarts as well. Pretty frustrating to use

Seems like my pixel is having motherboard issues. A quick Google search seems like some people are having it as well. Anyone knows where to get the motherboard changed in SG?

had the same issue. I sent to two shops but both quoted like a ridiculous amount of approx $800 for repairs. so the phone ended up being an expensive paperweight

Wa that's quite sad. I found somewhere with a $1xx quote still thinking if I should go for it. If not the phone working fine like Abit of a waste to just retire it

Phone dropped and display went out. No cracks whatsoever but just can't switch on.

Tried one repair shop near People's Park. Opened up test battery and new display still no difference.

Eventually closed back but came with multiple scratches due to prying open, and still can't start...

If your phone is able to start and having minor problems which you are able to live with, highly suggest you don't try to get it fix unless you are certain of the tech's skills.

Yes. I will never send my phone to a 3rd party repair shop.

I have seen videos to open up the phone. Not that easy if you don't have the proper tools or experience.

I just downgraded to Android 7.1.0, and my power button sleeps and wakes the phone ALL the time, so I think it is pretty conclusive to me Android 8 is causing some kind of issues there.

I think it's worth a try to reflash the Android 8.1.0 firmware instead of using the automatic update.

Update: Power button now doesn't sleep/wake the phone. Kind of disappointing to say the least. It could still be a software-derived issue though.
