What is the problem of the phone?

So ya my Pixel i bought the wifi cannot work properly. the 2.4Ghz band cannot be detected. I can connect to 5Ghz but outside not all places use 5Ghz. Anyway i told the google support that this is a hardware issue. So they said send it in. But since i bought it from someone else only that person can bring it in. I even ask if i can courier to them and bare the cost also no reply. So i suck thumb now.

Locally now I have not seen any shops that do repairs because parts are not available. The technofied at kallang there also cannot fix because they dont have the parts. Wil just wait till some shop can repair it here.

This is ridiculous.

Just my 2 cents. Tell them it's a gift. There is no receipt and you don't know the giver.

Anyone getting random intermittent spontaneous Bluetooth disabling itself? I have a Pebble that's synced to it, and it sometimes gets randomly disconnected due to Bluetooth being turned off without my knowledge.

Also, my compass is practically useless, it almost never points to the true direction.

Google has most of the answers there.

https://www.technobezz.com/fix-google-pixel-bluetooth-problems/

Compass can be calibrated.

The instructions in that website don't work. There's no "Bluetooth app" even after showing system apps (which the instructions didn't mention, swiping left/right does nothing, is he even trying on a Google Pixel device?!). The closest is "Bluetooth share", which doesn't have a clear cache option.

As for compass, whether or not it is calibrated, the direction is wrong most of the time.

As for the compass, my phone is not pointing at the perfect direction most of the times. I don't drive but when I started navigation on the maps yesterday, it managed to point at the true direction.

Yup it seems that once you're moving, Android will use GPS for direction rather than the magnetic compass sensor. It assumes you're facing where you're traveling - a fair assumption in most cases (esp in navigation mode).

I gave up waiting and bought the Huawei Mate 9 after doing some research. Coming from a Nexus 6P and a fan of stock Android, I had my reservations especially with EMUI 5.0. I am pleased to report that my fears were unfounded. I really like the Mate 9 - especially the big screen and battery. While not perfect, EMUI offers a few interesting touches which I really like. Give it a try.
