I remember batboyz shared before in this thread. You can read multi pages back.

1st step you definitely have to contact Google US through email. Can try the local hotline and ask for advice.

I think it started with Android 8.0 update, but I feel it's more of a hardware issue rather than software.

I am using phone lock app to lock/display sleep my phone now.
