Upgrading from Silvia + PID.

1) 2 cups a day max
2) Latte drinker
3) Budget sub $1,500 ~2,000
4) Easy to use
5) Prefer to buy overseas as it's overpriced here.

Any advise?

Already have macap grinder.

I’m ok with current of course not those press one button de .

No need to wait as in between frothing like the Silvia

Decent cannot let u do both like E61 but good thing is no wait time, fast startup. Warranty tricky as no AD in Singapore. They sell directly.

I have to agree with above rates are not in your favor. if you getting a mitica from Italy will cost you $700-800 more. GST and the eur$130 shipping is high

You already have a Strega. what’ve what upgrading to? GS3 MP?

Linea Mini or GS3... if only the GS3 is priced similar to what the Linea is now..

The LM Leva, too complicated for its own good, most likely a novelty machine that 99% can't fully use any of its function.

Unless there's specialty cafe that allows people to consistently try out different variation, but the concept itself is a costly venture..

HB and German coffee forum talking about the Slayer has some design flaws.
https://www.home-barista.com/espresso-machines/slayer-single-group-risk-of-leaking-t49003.html

Think if you have a lot of money, can hold back and wait for the LM La Curva, look like LM is really going back to lever.
Looks very good but also very complicated. Must be very costly for servicing

Read the thread carefully.

This is simply a case of a clueless user who did not set his expansion valve properly leading to a blown gasket. He subsequently panicked and posted on home barista and German forums.

Fail to set the expansion valve properly on any machine and your will get the same leakage.

The main problem with the single group was with temp stability in the early version. That was fixed with a firmware upgrade.

Some goes for any machine. Buy it only after 1 year after commissioning. Don’t be the first user. Hint: don’t buy the LM leva yet.

Google “<insert machine name> + problems” and you will always get results, mostly from more clueless users making honest beginner mistakes.

Yes sadly the prices of LM here is too expensive! Quality is fantastic though. If you do get the gs 3 with manual paddle do give us a review! The MP version comes with a flow control valve which is more hands on than a slayer! Like a Della Corte Mina.
