Pulled the trigger today on a Rocket Giotto R - was going to go for the V but they were sold out so I'll go with Rotary. A Specialita and some accessories.

2200 Eur all in with shipping to Singapore. Shipping was about 185 EUR.

Used a discount code to get 120 eur off.

I preordered from a Carousell dealer (dt1717) but they have reverted to $1.9k pricing. Not sure how much more Cowpresso is selling now. There are supposingly 2 local distributors - Cowpresso and Highlander Coffee, but both are dissing each other.

I sure did - hopefully its here soon.

Just need to pick up an Acaia Lunar now.

Do get your Lunar soon. Dutch Colony raised their prices to $372(!) for their latest shipment.

Had a bad experience w/ them - bought $325 of vouchers during their 10% discount but item was OOS. Spoke to them beforehand but they didn’t warn on price increase. Now their explanation for the $47 increase was USD appreciated (fair enough), they were selling below MSRP for years (really?!), and shipping costs now 3x (how they were forced to take expedited shipping and no sea). But the price increase for the Acaia Pearl S was only $13 (for a bigger scale), and they as a distributor shouldn’t be taking stock at MSRP.

They did some service recovery, but decided to take my money elsewhere - bought from another store at $325. However, Dutch Colony will push through revised pricing soon.

cutting the chase but not going all out, anyone has experience with rocket r9 one?
grinder should be niche zero based on advice here..

Thanks for the heads up, will go and pick it up from percolate today. 325 doesnt sound too bad. I have the Pearl S for pourovers but when I tried it with my old rancilio it was too big and bulky, so I think the lunar is the way to go.

Thanks, will monitor price on Elektros first, price at 1.9K is quite close already so the pre-order is probably a good price you got!

If you are getting such a high end machine. I suggest you get it from Stella M who are the local distributors for Rocket. I have no experience using it, so I cannot advise.

Yes. the red brick has very consistent quality. The candy shop is interesting but harder to brew.

Their standard is comparable to nylon. but nylon may be more interesting because of their single origins.

shipping is also quite regular pre-covid.

Only one of my 2 shipment arrived from espresso coffee shop. The other shipment went to USA before coming to me. Knn now covid, human cannot travel but goods can.

Only receive my rocket knock box, tamping station and Faustino. Still waiting for Appartamento Nera.
