How much would it cost? Oz is like aud$9k
WMF 1200 S:Bean to Cup:Kaffeemaschinen

Buy in Malaysia but still 7-8k. Serious upgrade for an office.
WMF 1200S Commercial Coffee Machine | Cuppa Coffee Boutique

A nice jura like half that? My old office has like 10-15 ppl used a jura f9. No issue build like a bull
Jura Impressa XS90 One Touch from Whole Latte Love

The wmf machines is the size of a small child. Burger King here used to serve coffee from them. More for catering rather than home/office pantry use.

I've still yet to come across a super auto that makes great espresso. Would love to have one that can make something decent.

I think she makes drink with milk, anything to recommend to really steam milk not heat and frother like the nespresso?

Not sure if nespreso still makes their stand alone frothers. Or can just get a whisk type milk frother. Works the same of a nespreso frother.

There are steam based stand alone frothers that can do a good job too.

I bought that for my office pantry. Stupid thing keeps breaking down after 6 mths of use. My staff kept complaining about it so much I ended up buying another one within the year and brought that home for myself to use. That thing can't handle heavy usage

Now using this from Krups in the office

As for coffee, I just buy cheapo Bon Cafe beans from NTUC for the office pantry. My employees seems to like it but personally don't like it. I tried buying expensive ones from fancy cafe joints but now end up just get from Starbucks after I found a particular blend from them I like. U just need to keep trying different ones until U find the ones U like. Expensive doesn't mean good, cheap doesn't mean bad
This model maybe not suitable for office use la.. office surely a lot of ppl using. Last time my office using Saeco. I also using Starbucks coffee bean now. I think the Indonesia sumatra type. Pretty good.

Don't bother. The beans should come with resealable bags. They're sufficient.

And also, for your budget, I'd advise you to forget about espresso for now. Save your money, stick with brewed coffee like FP, aeropress, pourovers, etc.
Few years down the road when you're working, save up to buy a proper espresso machine.

That's their smallest under their brand.
For 100 cups a day, don't know how big is his company. 30 ppl in a company can easily consume 100 cups

Easy to say, some ppl would visit dear Starbucks more often
Yrs to come may not be saving. $500 can get how many cups at Starbucks?

Anyway there is a market for these cheapo, my buddy working at Apple cupertino is happy with his $100 machine
Told him he could make great espresso like his cafeteria with $1.5k but he said no worth the money and laugh

I had been using delonghi coffee machine for 1 month plus. Everyday at least 4 cup. So far so good, no complain.

Anyone know where to buy good and affordable coffee beans?

This model is not built to last. They are using aluminium boiler hence the low price.

Beware Delonghi sales tactic, they will claim that this model is a "double boiler" when in fact it is a single boiler with a rapid steam coil. This coil when superheated for a long time will wear out.

Do you know Krups and Delonghi share the same warranty centre. Check the address out. I think you made a bad choice in choosing this 2 model. With the combined price of the 2 models, you could have gotten yourself a Jura XF50 which is designed for 40 cups of black coffee a day and onsite servicing for your machine.

There is also a market for overpriced "health" necklaces and wrist bands banking on the uninformed. The point is that a $500 machines is not likely to produce a good cup of joe and the same 500 Might be better served For a v60 with 20 bags of fresh beans or to be saved an topped up to buy something more decent to produce a superior cup.

Thanks for the tip! Sounds like a dual thermoblock system?

No it is not a true double thermoblock system automatic machine.
In a real double thermoblock system, you have one thermoblock for steaming milk and another one for brewing coffee. For this particular model, it is a thermoblock with a heating element that generate steam attached to it.

It mimics the function of a thermoblock because the heating element is a single coil that flash heats the water from the thermoblock, giving you instant steam. A very good idea since it require lesser time for the coil to heat up as opposed to heating a single thermoblock to generate steam. For home use, 5 cup a day is no problem but anyone purchasing this model thinking that it can serve up to more than 10 cups a day and still tahan for 5 years is just asking to be deceived. :s13:

in before thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer,

anyone actually bother to look into your carbon footprint when you fire up your machine for a personal cup?

since 'sustainability' is like the in thing now

that is subjective too, whats good for u maybe great for another.
GPA of 4.0 is good, others pass is good enough.

not pt pushing it on someone not willing to spend, unless someone is willing to pay for it on her behalf that would be perfectly fine.

many ppl are snoobs here by in these ppl eyes. I dont see the pt of forcing on them its their money and life. some ppl no fish, small shrimp is fine; others no fish not not eating rather go hungry.

just gonna start small n enjoy myself first. then once upgrade can use the current one as decoration. i did thought of buying those $2k ones but i'm afraid i won't have the time to learn and use properly till i grad so no point getting one, it will be left untouched.
btw any recomendation for bitter but chocolatey coffee? :)

many of the 3rd wave cafes here have a preference for fruity espresso instead of the traditional bittersweet chocolate ones. usually its the darker roasts that will bring our the chocolate flavours.

Try toby's estate rodyk blend or highlander supremo blend for something that is darker roasted but not too dark to be too bitter.

U getting the used NS Oscar? If so that can last 5-7yrs easy from new.
A 2k setup isn't hard to use, in fact is almost as easy. The hard part is getting right grind that takes like 2 hr tops.
Tamping - lazy to figure out how hard to press get a calibrate tamper only $100

Didn't sound like budget turning u off more like ease of use.
I thought SG small space can afford to let it sit there as decoration. LOL

Seriously , aeropress / v60 / french press route is the best. Less than a hundred bucks. Upgrade from here. Best is these tool can be re-use when you get your espreaso machine because these are pour overs, different than espreaso
