Nespresso machine good or not ?
Can buy ?

This is better. Get the limited edition capsules. For a start it is an easy 1 button coffee 1 button clean machine.

And if you want to make full use of the machine you can try this before you decide on a $2000 system

Don't know why they kickstart a project for something that been around for ages. You can find it all over anywhere.

Refillable capsules won't work, if your coffee is in powdered form. It will oxidise too quickly in less than 3 days.

Most of the refillable capsules dun work or are too messy. This kickstarter has the best quality so far. I grind 10.3g for 2 capsules for 1 espresso. No oxidation problem.

How can it be possible?
There's no such thing as no oxidation problem, it's a matter of how much.
If the person purchase the coffee is in powdered form, sure will oxidise like crazy.

If he intends to buy a grinder, buy beans to grind, actually it really makes no sense to buy a Nespresso. Still need to pack to the capsule, seal it and clean it after use. Buy the cheapest Krups machine also better.

There are many who are using Nespresso and with the reduction in capsule price I am sure sales will pick up more . Especially office pantry, people who want fast and simple, first timer.............. hmmm office pantry (2 refillable capsule) very handy. I dun expect them to throw away the machine anytime soon as Citiz is very hardy.

Just an alternative for nespresso users why you have to violently object? Like you say around for ages and I think it's worth a mention. Use it or not it's entirely up to you.

Sounds weird to buy Nespresso for its convenience but choose the most inconvenient way to use it.

No way to go back to Nespresso for me.

Today I pulled down the shower screen and found out it's not really dirty. But I cleaned it anyway and changed the gasket.

Should I change the shower screen with a new one too? There's some holes stuck with coffee.

Hahaha but the sheer number of supporters and backers made me curious. Like I said only the limited edition are worth buying.

Anyone here into Cold Brew?

Any recommended way to do so or perhaps some kind of "system"?

Heard it's less acidic and less caffeine which is something suitable for my lady.

Cold brew uses a lot more coffee so cannot be less caffeine. The link below says quarter pound(113g) to make 4 cups, close to 30g per cup. That's 4 x more than standard espresso.

The acidity should be the same even if it taste less or more sour, and i think this depends more on the coffee you purchase.

The Aeroccino milk frother thing, breaks damn easily.
The Teflon coat also wears off and dissolve into the milk, and you drink it. PITA to wash.

Steam wands are better solution than that.
Not even talking about the coffee yet.

If you only drink 1 a day, should be ok though

Thanks for the tips.

Was looking at the Oxo cold brew but not decided yet. Just sold my Jura away as weekly drink about 3-4 cups nia. Takes up too much kitchen space.

Looks like more research is needed har...

Hi I'm thinking of getting this. Need some expert opinion from you guys here.

Bezzera Mitica TOP PID with Rotary Pump

Quamar Q50E Grinder Metallic Silver Grey, 54MM
Or
Bezzera BB005 Coffee Grinder
Or
Expobar 600 Doser Coffee Grinder

Few Question
1. Is PID really necessary?
2. E61 Grouphead is really THAT GOOD ? :)
3. Grinder- flat / conical - really makes a difference?

Thanks in advance for your help :)

Finally bought the BB005 and Mitica.

Bought the beans "Lavazza Qualita Oro Beans Coffee" it didn't give me the crema cf to Boncafe cheaper Vienne beans which were actually good and cheap. Is it because it's not ground fine enough?

Also thinking of getting this from Aliexpress

/Manual-Coffee-Grinder-Conical-Burr-Mill-for-Precision-Brewing-Brushed-Stainless-Steel/

which is cheap and functional. Planning to use this when on some days I prefer another bean and I don't have to empty my grinder or re calibrate it just to suit another bean type.

actually the waycap looks quite interesting. but really quite pricy.

The built is very solid. The storage pod act as a refiller and can carry to your workplace. Good if you are afraid that aluminium and plastic will affect your health.

Different coffee needs to adjust different grind setting a little.

Actually you can just use single dosing method instead of dosing all your required beans into the hopper.

For the blend that flows faster, use more coffee to add more resistance lor.
Example 15g for your Boncafe and 18g for your lavazza.
My experience with lavazza is it is very thick and nutty though, maybe your bag was opened for too long.
