Anyone upgrade from Bezzera bb005 grinder to Nizhe Zero? Significant difference?

48mm conical burr vs 63mm conical burr

U may want to read the below on burr size and taste

I came from Compak K3/Anfim Scody 2/Mazzer Kony, and I consider the Niche Zero an upgrade. If not in grind quality, then in workflow.

I came from a bb005 way back in my early days . Totally no comparison to the Niche, the bb05 is a retention monster especially at the exit chute easily holding 5-10 g of compacted grinds. The adjustment on the bb05 is really hard to use, I had to stick a measuring tape on the drop chute to make markings. Forget about going from filter to espresso and back Ur fingers will literally be sore after all the turning..haha

Upgrades from BB005 (or similar), what do you mostly notice in taste profile? Based on the link to HB forums above, if I am not wrong, is it more of an "expansion" in taste? You can taste more flowery notes whereas smaller grinders are just limited to nutty, chocolatey.

Usually, there is more depth in flavours and acidity with bigger burrs if I compare it against the M47 Kinu.

Wait for China to come out with copies and flood the market. They are now made there, won't take long. :o

Who long u thinking? Not made in China they also found a way to copy and profit.

Decent espresso also made there but still no copies, iirc it launch like 2016 or 2017.

Slayer clone?? The original launch in 2016

Talking about clone, just saw a grinder from levercraft (US based), the Ultra grinder. Some say it is the monolith clone, but I think it's quite subjective.

I've did some digging apparently the designer is from China. I'm trying to see if there's a different way to purchase other than pre order from the US.

Was reading the following article. Does it meant that the barista uses a lever machine with more pre-infusion before releasing? Pump more air means they also use a milk frother?

Wandering through the centre of Rome, Favre noticed a long queue snaking from a coffee bar near the Pantheon. Plenty of other cafes nearby used the same machines. What was it about this place, Favre wondered, that made it so special? Inside, the barista explained that other operators pumped the piston just once before releasing the coffee. But at Sant’Eustachio Il Caffè, the baristas pumped repeatedly. This meant they forced more water and air into the ground beans, which meant greater oxidisation, which drew out more flavour from the beans and produced more of a crema – the layer of foam formed on top of a good espresso.
