Did a search and saw a 3 in 1 (nespresso, dolce, coffee grind) machine for sale. Comes in different branding, and some as OEM ST-511 or ST-514 code. Seems cheap and interesting for its function. May try it out during 12.12 sale. Maybe can play with grind size and weight with this :s13:

Do share what you choose to get on 12.12 and share review

I like my new baby! Philips 3200 LatteGo is a great coffee machine able to brew 5 specialty coffee types Espresso, Coffee, Americano, Late Macchiato and Cappuccino. So good!

Ease and convenience for nespresso refill are just not there.
Those drip kind sure.

This brand has all the issues like other brand.
Even grind is consistent still have to play with weight of beans and tamp
Might as well use old fashion HX if try to educate elderly to use such refill

I use the container as a funnel and place it below the grinder. Takes only a few seconds. A coffee machine has more wear and tear and more parts to replace. So ease and convenience is definitely there.

Sorry to keep coming back to this topic, but what is everyone's go to coffee bean for espresso?

The price ranges these days seems to be very different, are there any bang for buck ranges that everyone buys?

I personally find that with so many roasters/cafes out there, we are spoilt for choice. There's no need to pay so much for good espresso. Some of the 'branded cafes' aren't even that great for the price *cough PPP cough*

My favourites are SixFour Coffee's Apache blend ($12/250g, free delivery), and Highlander Coffee's Supremo and Quattro blends (also $12 each).

Espresso Machines | Grinders

Hi Everyone, thinking of upgrading my humble Nespresso Citiz unto actual espresso machine.

Can't decide between as they all have advantages:
1. Bezzera BZ10
2. Gaggia Classic Pro (thinking of this)
3. Breville The Infuser

However, like any good machine needs a good grinder as a foundation. Which are yor recommendation for starters?
1. Breville Smart Grinder Pro
2. Bezzera BT005
3. Niche Zero

welcome any thoughts on above as I narrowed down based on the prices top to lower in the machine (breville isn't really a machine though as its appliance) and then cheaper to more expensive for the grinder.

Extra consideration: I find that bottomless portafilters are a dream, so am going into this direction as soon as possible.

For Fun: almost got sold into the Nespresso Creatista but after some thoughts, I would like to start experiencing having fresh beans on demand from home and producing some nice coffee shots and latte art for the family / friends.

.

If you are dwelling (and expecting to go deep later on), you can try with the Gaggia classic if it is the less expensive one among the 3 and upgrade later. But having a single boiler will need you to heat up for steam as a two step for milk drinks, if you are just looking for black, then any of them is fine. I quickly swapped from a Gaggia classic -> PID'd Rancilio Silvia -> HX machine and onwards as I'm more of a milk base drinker.

Grinder just go Niche Zero, dont waste time liao. Well tested by peeps here, the grinder will stay longer than any of your machine above.

thank you, that is sensible advice. I love how the Niche Zero just works, however, is it just me or an odd feeling that right now the price of the Niche Zero is definitely more than the Gaggia Classic. It almost feels like, the grinder takes top priority among the team here?
