Have you tried getting the phone out of your jeans pocket w/o standing up?

Sitting down etc with the device in your jeans is not an issue

What I've learned to do (which is a bit scary as well) is to have the phone sit in your back pocket. Just be careful that you don't end up damaging the phone or losing it from having the phone fall out
