I dunno what is the layout of your hdb unit.
So, the knocking will commence from the 1st unit at your floor level.
If your unit is situated in-between, the knocking will start a few days before your start date.
Prepare for your pets to be moved for 1 month.
You can check with the HIP office on the start date and finish date for your whole floor to help you in your planning.

Water leh? They need to replace the water pipes so need to cut off the water

For our house, the main water pipe passes through the master bedroom, toilet, kitchen toilet, and then kitchen.

On the first day, they installed the plastic/PVC hose so we still have water in the kitchen.

Make sure you are around on the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th day.

7th to at least visually inspect the wall tiles;

8th to at least visually inspect the floor tiles;

9th to tell them where to install all the barang barang in the toilets;

Try to use all the things in the toilets such as taps, shower and WC.

Check for water leakage (under the basin, basin,WC etc), cement/dirty spots, white cement not done properly, got hole in the floor to lock the metal gate, painting is done properly etc.

Another tip:

Buy a small basket (with holes at the bottom to go through) to carry your toiletries for you to bring down to the toilets downstairs

You can also tie a string and/or get a hook
So you can hook them inside the toilet

Don't worry about the toilet. I've seen some of them in various HIP projects. They're generally clean. I'm guessing they have people who clean the toilets throughout the day

Get the workers to install for you. It's free.
Get them to install everything for you!

Just go out to buy all the stuff you need.
Towel pole or rack. Hooks to hang pants.
Soap holder.
A nicer sink if u dowan their sink.
Mixing taps for ur sink and shower
Toilet paper holder
Rack for shampoo
Mirror
Cabinet mirror
