There is. The rams and also the cpu.

The rams for ddr4 minimum already 2400mhz. Some of them use faster rams. Also factoring in their cpu clocked speed.

They can pull slightly higher results. Not much but some even pull 9 frames more. Which can also lead to inaccurate frames recorded and fans will go crazy that it performs extremely well if the 980ti hits 9fps more. Lol

I think the best is still to have the reults at 1-2% gap differences.

If want to talk about CPU, Haswell chips are easier to achieve higher clock rate than Haswell-E though. I mean it is more common for 4970K to hit 4.7/4.8GHz and the really golden one can hit 5.0GHz, but for Haswell-E 6 core chips if you can hit 4.7GHz without some crazy voltages is considered golden liao.

I think ppl when reading benchmarks should look at numbers where the benching rig is close to their own rig specs man if the X-plat form can push the card for 9 frams more :s13:

Yeap thats right. Their reasons was to make sure that they are not bottlenecked by cpu issues.

But technically its adding a few frames. Anyway here im testing with an 4770k results wont push till the extent of those reviewers. But it should be close enough! :s12:

I rather take your mainstream clockers chip as a setting lol. More realistic. x99+5960x already one rig price lol.

Entry level X99 board + 5820K already can buy 4790K + mobo maybe + RAM and 1 SSD liao :s13:

Alright, since there is no in game benchmark in for farcry 4. I will be the one whom set the criteria.

The benchmark taken will be from the time where Sabbal first meet up with you (Paul) and he asked Paul to make a run to the jeep/rover.

The benchmark will then end when the rover went off the cliff and crashed.

FRAPS is used for this benchmark.

And here are the settings for 1440p max settings.

Results score for 1440p SMAA
2015-06-26 16:04:54 - FarCry4
Frames: 5810 - Time: 88234ms - Avg: 65.848 - Min: 51 - Max: 95

Settings for 4K only AA turn off

Results score for 4k
2015-06-26 16:36:11 - FarCry4
Frames: 4463 - Time: 88734ms - Avg: 50.296 - Min: 41 - Max: 61

Actually not bad leh 4k performance. Just need turn off AA to enjoy comfortable frame rates :)

Just that for 4k my mouse got to set even higher DPI to move slightly faster.

At 27", I personally can't even see the difference between AA and no AA. :s13:

How does the image quality fare though?

4k w/o AA vs QHD at max AA

Sent from microwave oven using GAGT

The image is much finer and slightly sharper over QHD. But you need to see quite close in order to see the difference.

For 1440p max AA it is also quite fine and sharp. And shadows are slightly not smooth than 4k, as you can see certain edges. But you cant really see it when playing the game itself. Not unless you stop and purposely take a look at it.

But being that said, both are still good, and it is a substantial upgrade for people whom are stuck at 1080p to move on to 1440p or 4k monitors.
