can I check how long does one have to wait before the physical card arrives (by mail)?

I assume the virtual card cannot be used at retail stores right? sorry a bit backward when it comes to digital payment (other than using cc for online purchases).

Since you don't use samsung pay, digital card can use for online payments that accept mastercard. Can pay bills eg SP, telcos, qoo10 etc....AXS cannot.

Physical card has a diff set of number fr the virtual card. Maybe that’s the problem?
When you activate physical card, your previous virtual card with the old numbers will be deactivated and your physical card and your "new" virtual card will have the same numbers.

Hi trazora and all, feel free to correct me in the following: if one tops up using UOB one to get the 10% rebate, I feel it is worth it after the 2% foreign exchange fees. Net net, one still earns 8% cash rebates. So I will prefer using GrabPay master card overseas than youtrip

Would I be saving money if I use GPMC over cash overseas, for example, Malaysia?

GPMC incur 2% fee for foreign spend, but get grabpoints. Grab points earn rate dropping starting in march though. Mastercard conversion should be slightly better than money changer. Nett nett it will be comparable to using cash. But you will not have issue of leftover cash.

If you can meet the spending for the 10% rebate for the rest of the months as well and/or do not exceed the $2k spend per month.

When I use the app to lock the card, it shows that only online and overseas payments are blocked. Does it mean that the physical card is still useable?

When you lock the virtual grabpay mastercard, iirc it means you can't use it at all, including the physical card...

Does one need to activate overseas usage when using physical card overseas?

I'm thinking of using it for business trip but wonder how to submit credit card statement for claims

Taobao Purchases

Anyone have tried using GPMC for Taobao purchase? Previously was using GPMC to top-up YouTrip but now cannot already. If Taobao auto converts the currency to SGD, I think GPMC should be no problem in handling the SGD transaction.

Anyone know normally how long it takes for refund from merchant to GPMC? I ordered on Shopee, but order cancelled and Shopee refund it back to GPMC, when will it appear on Grab App? Thanks

Protip: don't let Taobao charge you in SGD. Get them to charge you in RMB. If not, you'll fall victim to the DCC scam, where they charge you extra, for the "service" of showing you how much it costs in SGD. Let GPMC do the conversion for you, not Taobao.

Taobao purchase with SGD not imposed DCC, and exchange rate better than any cards.
I tried and compared. it even better rate than youtrip.

I also want to ask similar question.

Cancelled order on Lazada. But the amount never reflect in my GrabPay wallet.
