Friz topup by bank and paynow, cannot double dip with credit card topup. Anyway 1.75% with initial bonuses is better than Grabpay card for things like insurance and govt services

Friz website says “transactions to AXS” do not qualify for the cashback. How does it work for govt services then? Am looking to pay some IRAS bills soon.

only work for govt services that can be paid other than AXS e.g. road tax via onemotoring, town council over counter

who said? did you try? you can always test without paying if that's not your intention

Just now do a PayNow VPA top up and a debit card top up. Then try to transfer the amount back to bank account but hit error. Anyone has this issue before?
The amount to transfer is within the limit that specified in the app.

A general error prompt after key in the pin:
Title: Transfer Unsuccessful
Msg body: We're sorry., there was an error. Please try again.
With a OK button.

I have retried many times but still hit the same error.

You can either try to contact grab now and see, if not try again tmr then contact grab.

you mean tap and pay function within the grab app, right?
It is rather erratic in the sense whereby sometimes it work (like 49% of the time) and sometimes it don't (like maybe 51% of the time), if I can put a number to the frustrating situation.

And when it don't work, it'll always get stuck in that rotating circle icon and then after like 5-8mins later a funny error message will always appeared "we don't know what is the problem" or something along that line. happened on all 3 phones.

anyway, so my situation is, contactless within grab app doesn't always work for me, and I prefer not to always bring along the physical card to tap on POS.

As for the grab app scan QR code and pay, it doesn't always get accepted at certain places that I frequent eg. giant supermarket. In contrast, google pay scan and pay work. so I thought would be nice to have a single app for everything just using gpay

exactly, and that prompted me to give it a try since only waste a few mins to get a definitive answer so why not. but my testing results ended up failed on all 3 phones (samsung, oneplus and xiaomi).

and then after some googling... found this faq article... what a bummer. my dream for a convenient life of 1 phone (no more wallet, no cards) and 1 app to rule them all is now shattered

yes. after updating the grab app, there is this superapp thingy to opt in. then u can choose NFC to grab and it will work for Android phones. but payment takes longer than google pay. which is a minor irritation.
